Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 114, s. 2026 issued by the Office of the President, the City Government of Carcar will implement a revised work schedule in support of the government’s energy conservation measures.

For this week only:
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Starting next week:
• Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

There will be NO OFFICE TRANSACTIONS ON FRIDAYS in observance of the four-day onsite work arrangement.

Offices providing essential services, including health, public safety, and emergency response, will remain fully operational to ensure uninterrupted public service.

Please be guided accordingly.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, Series of 2026, the Office of the President has declared February 17, 2026, as a Special Non-Working Holiday in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

All classes and work operations in the City of Carcar are hereby suspended in line with this declaration.

Regular classes and work operations will resume on February 18, 2026. May this celebration bring prosperity, harmony, and good fortune to all.

Mayor Patrick Barcenas has announced the SUSPENSION OF WORK today, February 6, 2026, in all Carcar City Government Offices, including the Department of Education (DepEd) non-teaching personnel, due to the expected effects of Tropical Depression Basyang.

Frontline employees are still required to report for duty to ensure the continuous delivery of essential and emergency services to the public.

For private sector offices and establishments, work suspension will be at the discretion of their respective management.

The City Government of Carcar urges all Carcaranons to remain vigilant, stay indoors, and continue monitoring official advisories from authorities for safety and guidance.

On December 22, 2025, the Management Team of LGU Carcar gathered at Quest Hotel, Cebu City, to reflect on our growth and challenges over the year. The session started with a thorough evaluation, followed by an engaging and insightful Structured Learning Experience facilitated by Sir Bré Segundo Jr Abrea, where our Management Team tackled some issues faced in 2025.

More sessions are expected as the Team dives deeper into these discussions to continue growing and improving together! 🌱💡

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 727, Series of 2024, the Office of the President has declared December 8, 2025, as a Special Non-Working Holiday in observance of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.

All City Government offices will be closed tomorrow in line with this declaration. Emergency and essential services will remain available to the public.

Regular office operations will resume on December 9, 2025. We wish everyone a safe and meaningful holiday.

The CHRMO would like to thank the Carcar City PS PCR for reorienting our first batches of employees on the ill effects of illegal drugs and related laws during the Anti-Drug Symposium held in the Carcar City People's Hall.
