A meaningful workshop was held on August 29, 2026, at the Function Hall of Saint Catherineโ€™s College, bringing together Student Teachers from Carcar City College and Saint Catherineโ€™s College for a day of learning, sharing, and preparation for the realities of the teaching profession.

The workshop was headed by Class President Lyka Sophia Alinsugay and facilitated by the BAEL 4A Officers, with the support of Dr. Jean S. Dabasol, College President of Carcar City College; Sr. Catherine Edith O. Cruz, Directress of Saint Catherineโ€™s College; Letitia S. Florido, Chairwoman of the College of Education Department of Saint Catherineโ€™s College; and Practicum Teachers Dr. Dolly Ann D. Caraca and Ms. Meribeth Lastima.

We are also deeply thankful to our resource speaker, Dr. Margie M. Oacan, for generously sharing her knowledge and experiences on the ILAW Framework. Your insights gave us a clearer understanding of how ILAW can help us become more intentional, responsive, and reflective in our future classrooms.

A special thank you goes to Dr. Dolly Ann D. Caraca for her constant guidance, patience, and support. On behalf of BAEL 4A, thank you for always being there to guide and encourage us throughout our Student Teaching journey. Your support truly means a lot. โค๏ธ

More than just a workshop, this was a meaningful opportunity for Carcar City College and Saint Catherineโ€™s College to come together in partnership, learn from one another, and support the growth of future teachers. It was a simple yet meaningful reminder that the journey toward becoming an educator is made better when we learn and grow together.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the workshop a success. Congratulations to all our fellow Student Teachers, and may we carry what we learned from this experience as we continue our journey toward the classroom. ๐Ÿ“šโค๏ธ

The August 2026 GCLE was administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), with the examination conducted on August 17 and 23, 2026 following the rescheduling of its final examination day due to heavy rainfall.

Your achievement comes at a particularly meaningful time for the Guidance and Counseling profession in the Philippines. As schools face growing concerns involving studentsโ€™ mental health, emotional well-being, bullying, behavioral concerns, and other challenges affecting learning and development, the need for qualified and Registered Guidance Counselors (RGCs) has never been more evident.

Congratulations, Mam Eula!
May your new professional journey continue to inspire compassion, resilience, and meaningful service to our learners and the wider community.

The onsite validation marks a significant step in the Collegeโ€™s pursuit of official Government Recognition for the BECEd program ahead of Academic Year 2027โ€“2028. More than a compliance requirement, the process reflects CCCโ€™s continuing commitment to ensuring that its academic programs uphold quality, relevance, and established standards in higher education.

Through this initiative, Carcar City College continues to strengthen its academic offerings and create meaningful opportunities for aspiring educators in Carcar and nearby communities. The BECEd program represents another milestone in the institutionโ€™s continuing efforts to provide accessible, quality education while preparing future teachers for the demands and responsibilities of the profession.

As Carcar City College continues to grow, so does its commitment to building an institution where academic excellence, quality instruction, and student success remain at the heart of education.

As an integral component of their internship program, the student teachers will engage in a range of authentic school-based experiences, including classroom observations, teaching demonstrations, quasi-teaching activities, tutoring of identified learners, and other instructional and professional engagements. These experiences are designed to bridge theoretical preparation and actual classroom practice while developing the studentsโ€™ pedagogical competence, professional disposition, communication skills, and readiness for the teaching profession.

Prior to deployment, the student teachers were oriented and prepared to report to their assigned cooperating schools with the prescribed internship requirements and documents. This process provides them with meaningful opportunities to experience professional interactions within actual educational settings and to apply the knowledge and competencies developed throughout their academic preparation.

A separate monitoring schedule will likewise be implemented by the BAEL Program to provide guidance, assess the student teachersโ€™ progress, and ensure that their internship experiences remain aligned with the programโ€™s intended learning outcomes and professional standards.

We extend our appreciation to the DepEd Carcar City Division and our cooperating schools for their continued partnership in providing our future English language educators with valuable opportunities for experiential learning and professional formation.

May this internship journey cultivate competent, reflective, and socially responsive future educators! โค๏ธ
