🌍 JULY 11 IS WORLD POPULATION DAY!

This World Population Day, the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) Region XI calls for renewed national and local commitment to place young people at the heart of development planning.

For CPD Region XI Director Jeff Fuentes, the challenge before us is not simply about the number of young people who will shape the country’s future, but about the quality of opportunities we provide them today.

“The question is no longer whether we have enough young people to drive our future. The real question is whether we are doing enough to help them realize that future. Every adolescent pregnancy prevented, every child protected from violence, every learner kept in school, every young person nourished, and every life given equal opportunity is an investment in the nation’s human capital.”

Young people must be recognized not only as beneficiaries of development, but as active partners, leaders, and contributors in building healthier, safer, more inclusive, and more resilient communities.

CPD Region XI therefore calls on national government agencies, local government units, schools, civil society organizations, development partners, faith-based organizations, families, and communities to work together in creating an enabling environment where every young person—regardless of gender, background, or circumstance—is protected, respected, heard, empowered, and given the opportunity to pursue their aspirations.

Population and development are ultimately about expanding people’s choices and improving their quality of life. The future of our nation will not be determined by the size of its youth population, but by how boldly and deliberately we invest in their health, education, nutrition, protection, rights, participation, and full potential today.

Investing in young people today means securing a stronger and more sustainable future for all.

COMMUNITY-BASED YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SESSION! 📣

Hunyo 27, 2026 | Brgy. PM Sobrecarey - Matagumpay na isinagawa kahapon ang Community-Based Youth Development Session (YDS) katuwang ng PopDev ang ating mga red angels, mula sa DSWD Municipal Operations Office, at ang ating PNP personnel.

Sentro sa naging talakayan ang mga napakahalagang paksa na naglalayong gabayan, protektahan, at itaguyod ang kapakanan ng ating mga kabataan:

🧠 Mental Health Awareness – Pagbibigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng pangangalaga sa kalusugan ng isip at pag-alis sa stigma sa lipunan.

🚫 Kontra-Bullying at R**e – Edukasyon ukol sa karapatan, paggalang sa kapwa, at paglikha ng ligtas na espasyo para sa lahat.

🚫 Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act – Pag-unawa sa mga batas at prosesong nangangalaga sa mga kabataang may kinakaharap na hamon sa lipunan.

Hunyo 23, 2026 | Brgy. Caningag - Sa layuning mapatatag ang pundasyon ng bawat tahanan, matagumpay na idinaos ang karagdagang 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗗𝗦) para sa ika-lawang quarter ng taon, sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaisa ng POPDEV, BFP, at DSWD 4Ps Operations Office.
