On April 30, 2026, personnel of Capas MPS successfully arrested a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was conducted by joint operatives of Capas MPS, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect after selling suspected illegal drugs to an undercover operative. Confiscated during the operation were pieces of evidence believed to be illegal drugs and marked money used in the transaction.

The suspect was immediately informed of the nature of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights in a language known and understood by him. He is currently under the custody of Capas MPS for proper documentation and filing of appropriate charges.

The seized items will be submitted to the appropriate forensic unit for laboratory examination.

Capas MPS reiterates its strong commitment to the campaign against illegal drugs and assures the public of its relentless efforts to maintain peace and order in the community. # # #

Upon arrest, the suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights in a language known and understood by him. The accused is currently under the custody of Capas MPS for proper documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the issuing court.
