Today is the Sacerdotal Anniversary of our beloved Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Anthony George Bergonio.

On this special occasion, we give thanks to God for the gift of his priestly vocation and his dedicated service to our institution and Church. Through his unwavering faith, compassionate guidance, and tireless commitment, Fr. Anthony has touched the lives of so many, providing spiritual nourishment and support.

We pray that the Lord continues to bless and guide him in his sacred mission, strengthening his heart and soul as he faithfully walks the path of service, love, and devotion. May his journey as a priest remain filled with grace, wisdom, and an ever-deepening relationship with God.

Today was a special event for the Grade School Department of Dominican College of Tarlac, Inc., as the pupils celebrated their First Communion. The event was a significant milestone in their spiritual journey, marking their first reception of the Holy Eucharist. The ceremony was held with great reverence and joy, bringing together students, parents, and faculty in a shared expression of faith.

The Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Anthony George Bergonio, the esteemed chaplain of DCT. His presence added a profound spiritual significance to the event, guiding the young communicants through this sacred rite. Fr. Bergonio’s words resonated deeply with everyone present, emphasizing the essence of this sacrament in the lives of the young faithful.

In his homily, Fr. Bergonio emphasized that the Body of Christ has the power to transform us, helping us to become more faithful and better individuals. He also reminded the parents and guardians of their crucial role in guiding the pupils on their spiritual journey, particularly in fostering a deep love and reverence for the Eucharist. His message underscored the importance of family support in nurturing the children’s faith and spiritual growth.

Students from the CBA, CCJE, CLA, CHM, CCS, and CED departments embarked on a memorable retreat from October 14-18 at the Caleruega Retreat Center in Nasugbu, Batangas.

Surrounded by nature, this time away offered students a chance to reflect on their journeys, find clarity, and strengthen bonds with one another. The experience was designed to inspire both personal growth and spiritual renewal. As they prepare to face the future, the retreat served as a moment of pause and connection. With memories of shared reflections and new insights, the students are now ready to take on the next chapter of their lives with confidence and purpose.

At the San Nicolas de Tolentino Shrine, a significant event unfolded as Grades 4-6 students from Capas Gabaldon Elementary School and Juan Navarro Elementary School, totaling 210 students, celebrated their First Communion Day. Presided over by Rev. Fr. Anthony George Bergonio, DCT Chaplain, this momentous occasion marked the culmination of an Apostolate initiated by the Catechetical Mission of DCT, in collaboration with various organizations of the Dominican Vocation Club (DVC) Junior High School Department, under the Campus Ministry Office.

The journey leading up to this day began with a Catechism Program that commenced on February 28, consisting of a series of catechism sessions. Before the First Communion Day, Rev. Fr. Anthony George Bergonio and Rev. Fr. Jayson Besa administered confessions to the children, ensuring spiritual readiness for the sacrament.

Special recognition is extended to the Office of Student Affairs, led by Mr. Renel Samson, and the Campus Services and Development team for their invaluable contributions to the physical preparation of the event.
