𝗘𝗧𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗡𝗣 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

CAMP O'DONNELL, Capas, Tarlac – The Education and Training Command (ETC), Philippine Army was honored to accept a considerable donation of fi****ms, various am******on, magazines and fi***rm accessories from esteemed retired high-ranking officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Brigadier General Lennon G. Babilonia PA, Acting Commander, ETC, accepted the donation of fifteen (15) types of fi****ms, am******on for various fi****ms, magazines for nine (9) types of guns, and related accessories from donors General Raul M. Bacalzo PNP (RET), former Chief, PNP and Brigadier General Ireneo A. Bacolod PNP (RET).

The generous donors intend that these personal and duly registered fi****ms be used in support of the training mission and requirement of the ETC, PA. The Command will use these additional equipment to enhance the marksmanship skills development and experience of students undergoing various learning programs.

The ETC is grateful for the support and donation from Gen. Bacalzo and BGen. Bacolod. It is through the help of fellow former servicemen and servicewomen of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the PNP that the ETC passes on knowledge and essential skills to new generations of soldiers.

CAMP O’DONNELL, CAPAS, TARLAC — Ms. Ruth L. Dalida, DPA, Chief, Civilian Human Resource, Philippine Army, visited the Education and Training Command (ETC), Philippine Army, Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the opening ceremony of the Civilian Human Resource School (CHRS) Advanced Supervisory Course Class 33-2026.

The opening ceremony was held at the ITG Multipurpose Room, Paquit Hall, with 22 Civilian Human Resources participating in the course, which aims to enhance their supervisory competencies, leadership capabilities, and readiness to assume greater responsibilities in their respective assignments.

Prior to her engagement, Ms. Dalida also paid a call to Brig. Gen. LENNON G BABILONIA PA, Acting Commander, ETC, where they discussed the role of Civilian Human Resources in supporting the Philippine Army’s shift toward the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept (CADC). The engagement emphasized the importance of a competent, professional, and responsive civilian workforce in sustaining the Army’s institutional capabilities and supporting its evolving mission requirements.

In her message to the students, Ms. Dalida encouraged the class to keep dreaming, embrace every learning opportunity, and regard every training and professional experience as a stepping stone toward career growth and greater contribution to the institution. She underscored that continuous learning, commitment, and adaptability are essential in developing competent and empowered Civilian Human Resources of the Philippine Army.
Her visit and message reaffirmed the Philippine Army’s commitment to the continuous professional development of its Civilian Human Resources, recognizing their vital contribution to institutional effectiveness and to the Army’s transformation in support of the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept.

CAMP O’DONNELL, CAPAS, TARLAC — The Education and Training Command (ETC), Philippine Army, stood united during the simultaneous flag-raising ceremony held at Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac, in commemoration of the 9th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Liberation of Marawi.

The ceremony honored the courage, sacrifice, and heroism of the Filipino soldiers and other security personnel who fought to liberate Marawi City from terrorist groups, reaffirming the nation’s enduring commitment to peace, security and the protection of the Filipino people.

In a message delivered by Brigadier General Lennon G Babilonia PA, Acting Commander of the Education and Training Command, on behalf of General Antonio G. Nafarrete PA, Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, he emphasized the importance of upholding the values and ideals for which the nation’s fallen heroes made the ultimate sacrifice.“Remember the greatest honor we can give our fallen heroes is to live out the values for which they gave everything: duty, honor, courage, and service to the Filipino people.”

As the nation remembers the historic liberation of Marawi, the ETC stands firm in its resolve to honor the fallen not only through remembrance but also through meaningful action, living out the values of duty, honor, courage and service in every mission undertaken for the Filipino people.

Today, 17 October 2026, right here at Camp O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac, 465 resolute men and women of Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) Classes 808 and 809-2026 proved what it truly means to earn the uniform. Pushing through the grueling New Clark City and O’Donnell roads, these future defenders conquered the ultimate test of physical endurance: the Graduation Run.

At the Education and Training Command (ETC), Philippine Army, we don't just train soldiers; we forge the bedrock of our nation's defense. Through our rigorous 16-week transformation, basic squad training, and warfighting modules at the School for Candidate Soldiers, ordinary citizens are meticulously molded into disciplined, combat-ready warriors. They are the future backbone of our infantry and major army units, standing ready to protect our sovereignty, secure our islands, and defend the West Philippine Sea.

Like a cool breeze in a warm day, the Lord gives us time to rest our bodies and leave our worries. Let us be thankful for this weekend respite but allow ourselves space to reflect on the actions that we made so we could learn lessons from them. It is in reflection and mindfulness that we experience God's glory and guidance that steer us to change and grow so we could become better versions of ourselves.
