This year’s Girl Child Week 2026 highlights the importance of Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH)—a critical issue that directly impacts the health, safety, and future of young people.

ASRH equips adolescents with the knowledge, skills, and access to services they need to make safe, informed, and responsible decisions about their
bodies and relationships. It also plays a key role in preventing early pregnancy, reducing health risks, and protecting young people from abuse
and exploitation.

In the Philippines, gaps in knowledge and access to services continue to put adolescents at risk. Studies show that many young people still lack comprehensive, accurate information on sexual and reproductive health, limiting their ability to make informed choices.

Investing in ASRH means empowering young people to stay healthy, pursue their education, and reach their full potential.

On March 16, 2026, WCPD personnel of Caoayan Municipal Police Station under the supervision of 𝓟𝓒𝓟𝓣 𝓛𝓨𝓚𝓐 𝓢 𝓑𝓐𝓨𝓐𝓢𝓑𝓐𝓢, 𝓐𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓒𝓱𝓲𝓮𝓯 𝓸𝓯 𝓟𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓬𝓮 participated on the health activity of RHU-LGU Caoayan among the Women's Based Group, BHW and residents of Brgy Pantay-Quitiquit, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur. WCPD personnel gave counseling among the participants regarding WCPD related cases, delivered lecture regarding Women and Children laws and distributed leaflets about Child Abuse and Domestic Violence.

On March 14, 2026, PSSg Rodelia Armandico, Asst WCPD/FJGAD/Admin PNCO of Caoayan MPS under the supervision of PCPT LYKA S BAYASBAS, ACOP attended the Radio Guesting at DWRS Commando Radio, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur dubbed as "ALENG PULIS" and shared the accomplishments and activities of Caoayan MPS personnel within the month of March. Also, shared the incoming activities of Caoayan MPS in support with the celebration of 2026 National Women's Month.

Please be careful of unscrupulous individual who is using cellular number 0912-043-9563 and pretending to be PLTCOL RODEL C DEL CASTILLO, Chief of Police of Candon City Police Station and requesting two (2) complete names and their cellphone numbers of Rice Suppliers within the City, purposely for the urgent purchase of rice to be distributed in Isabela for a government program.

CANDON CITY POLICE STATION HAS NO SUCH KIND OF ACTIVITY AND WE ARE APPEALING TO THE PUBLIC TO BECOME ALERT AND VIGILANT !

If you receive any suspicious text messages or other related scamming activities, report it immediately to the nearest Police Station.

Likewise, distributed flyers regarding Crime Prevention Safety Tips.

On February 16, 2026, PSSg Rodelia Armandico, Duty WCPD PNCO of Caoayan Municipal Police Station, under the supervision of PCPT LYKA S BAYASBAS, Acting Chief of Police, conducted lecture among Grade 7-12 students of Pantay-Tamurong National High School at Brgy Pantay-Tamurong, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur regarding Anti-Bullying Acts, Municipal Ordinance (Curfew Hours), Child Abuse, Traffic violations and other laws of women and their children.

Likewise, participated on their Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and PSSg Armandico serves as the be**er while PSSg Quillopo and PSSg Mario serve as the flag raiser.

On February 4, 2026, PSSg Rodelia Armandico, Duty WCPD PNCO of Caoayan Municipal Police Station, under the supervision of PCPT LYKA S BAYASBAS, Acting Chief of Police, conducted lecture among the Grade 12 On-the-Job Training (OJT) students of Pantay Tamurong National High School and Ilocos Sur National High School at Caoayan Municipal Police Station regarding RA 11313 (Anti-Bastos Law), RA 8353 (Anti-Rape Law), RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children). RA 7610 (Anti Child Abuse), RA 10627 (Anti-Bullying Acts), Sexual Harassment, Acts of Lasciviousness and RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act) held at IPQ Brgy Don Dimas Querubin, Caoayan,Ilocos Sur.

The activity aims to equip the OJT students with knowledge on proper reporting mechanisms and the roles of authorities and institutions in protecting victims. Likewise, to promote responsible citizenship an active participation in preventing violence against women and children.
