To ensure the smooth implementation of the TUPAD Program, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Cantilan, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Philip A. Pichay, conducted a monitoring visit to TUPAD beneficiaries deployed in different public schools across the municipality.

The activity was led by the PESO Cantilan team together with TUPAD Coordinator Maโ€™am Jastin Tolentino. During the visit, the team monitored beneficiaries assigned at Cantilan National High School (CNHS) headed by Maโ€™am Bea Bianca Aรฑover, Cantilan Pilot School (CPS) headed by Maโ€™am Janice Ocura, Magasang Elementary School headed by Maโ€™am Florelyn Cruiz, Calagdaan Elementary School headed by Maโ€™am Analiza Luarez, and Cantilan East Central Elementary School (CECES) headed by Maโ€™am Arta Yparraguirre.

The monitoring also provided an opportunity for the team to personally thank the beneficiaries for their dedication and commitment to their assigned work. PESO Cantilan likewise recognized the invaluable support of the school heads for their continued cooperation in ensuring the successful implementation of the program.

The office also expressed its sincere appreciation to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for its continued partnership in providing temporary employment opportunities to workers in the Municipality of Cantilan through the TUPAD Program.

The LGU of Cantilan, led by Hon. Mayor Philip A. Pichay, remains committed to working closely with partner agencies to deliver responsive employment programs and improve the welfare of the community.

TUPAD PAY-OUT | Cantilan, Surigao del Sur

A total of 64 beneficiaries received their wages under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program during a payout activity held on July 10, 2026, at the Cantilan Gymnasium, after completing temporary work assignments in four schools affected by the recent earthquake.

The beneficiaries were assigned to Parang National High School, Parang Elementary School, Palasao Integrated School, and Ayoke Elementary School, which were identified by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) based on reports of earthquake damage. Their work supported the cleanup and recovery efforts in the affected schools.

The activity aligns with the priority programs of Municipal Mayor Philip A. Pichay to provide employment opportunities and support community recovery through partnerships with national government agencies.

ONGOING | 100 Beneficiaries Sign DILP Business Proposals

In support of the priority programs of Municipal Mayor Philip A. Pichay to strengthen local livelihoods and create sustainable income opportunities for Cantilangnons, a total of 100 beneficiaries are signing their business proposals today, July 10, 2026, at the Cantilan Gymnasium under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

The beneficiaries, composed of 50 Parents of Child Labor (PCL) and 50 exited 4Ps beneficiaries, completed the proposal preparation and validation process. Once approved, they will receive livelihood starter items worth up to โ‚ฑ30,000, based on their approved business proposals.

The Local Government Unit of Cantilan, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), extends its gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for its continued partnership in empowering vulnerable sectors through sustainable livelihood assistance.
