(In relation to the April 19, 2026 Advisory on Adjustment of Water Supply Schedule)
Cantilan Water District (CWD) provides an update on the implementation of the temporary adjustment in our bulk water supply operations as part of our supply sustainability measures in response to the El Niño phenomenon and ongoing global economic challenges.
𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲:
• 3:00 AM – 11:00 PM (20 hours daily)
• No Supply: 11:00 PM – 3:00 AM
𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒅𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐:
• Allow water sources to recover and replenish
• Manage rising operational costs
• Ensure a reliable and sustainable water supply
• Minimize system losses (Non-Revenue Water or NRW), especially during low-demand hours
𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
Due to the 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱, the daily production volume of 𝟮,𝟱𝟬𝟬 cu.m. is now being reached as early as 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠, instead of 𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬𝗣𝗠.
In addition, our gravity-fed water supply capacity has declined by approximately 𝟳𝟬% and continues to decrease due to the prolonged dry spell.
To address this, CWD has implemented the following revised operating schedule:
• 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗸 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆:
𝟯:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 – 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 (17 hours daily)
Average: 142 cu.m./hr
• 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘆𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 – 𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠
Average: 74.5 cu.m./hr

Consumers may experience reduced water pressure at any time of the day, especially during peak demand hours.
𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
We reiterate our strong appeal to all consumers to:
• Store sufficient water before scheduled interruptions
• Immediately repair leaks and dripping faucets
• Report any leaks along distribution lines
• Limit non-essential water use (e.g., car washing, excessive watering of plants)
• Report illegal connections and unauthorized direct pumping from distribution lines
We sincerely ask for your continued understanding, cooperation, and collective action during this challenging period.
Let us work together to conserve water and ensure there is enough supply for everyone.
Thank you.
