MAGTINABANGAY KITA! | Ka-Agri, ang hulga sa African Swine Fever (ASF) anaa lamang sa atong palibot. Kitang tanan adunay responsibilidad sa pagpanalipod sa atong mga baboy ug industriya sa babuyan.

1. PANGHINLO –
Kanunayng limpyohi ang babuyan, mga kagamitan, sapatos, ug uban pang butang nga mahimong makadala sa virus. Kuhaa ang hugaw, tae, ug mga salin sa pagkaon aron mapugngan ang pagkatap sa sakit.

2. PAG-DISINFECT –
Human sa pagpanglimpyo, gamit og chlorine, disimpektahi ang babuyan, kagamitan, ug mga sakyanan nga mosulod o mogawas sa lugar. Siguruha nga husto ang paggamit sa disinfectant ug sundon ang girekomendang paagi sa pag-disinfect.

3. DILI PAGBAHUG OG PASAW –
Likayi ang pagpakaon sa baboy og pasaw o mga salin sa pagkaon, ilabina kung adunay sagol nga karne o produkto gikan sa baboy. Mahimong adunay ASF virus ang kontaminadong pagkaon ug mahimong hinungdan sa pagkuyanap sa sakit.

4. I-REPORT DAYON ANG MGA KADUDAHANGAN NGA SENYALES –
Kung adunay kalit nga pagkamatay o mga baboy nga adunay dili kasagarang sintomas, ayaw kini ibaligya, ibalhin, o patyon alang sa konsumo. I-report dayon sa Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), City Veterinary Office, o Provincial Veterinary Office aron mahatagan og hustong aksyon.

Pagpakisayud. Paniguro. Pabiling luwas sa ASF.

The Cantilan Sirong Festival 2026 Planning and Management Board convened today, August 26, at the Cantilan Town Hall to evaluate this year’s festival and begin conceptualizing the upcoming 244th Adlaw Nan Cantilan.

The meeting was presided over by Municipal Administrator Emmanuel A. Almeda and led by Mayor Philip A. Pichay, with the participation of the different committees and concerned offices.

Through collaboration and continuous improvement, Cantilan continues to work toward more meaningful, organized, and memorable celebrations.

The Municipality of Cantilan is stepping up preparations for the DepEd Surigao del Sur Division Academic and Skills Development 2026, set for September 9–12, 2026.

Presided over by Municipal Administrator Emmanuel A. Almeda, a coordination meeting was held today, August 26 at the Conference Room, Town Hall, bringing together concerned LGU offices and partner agencies to align assignments, requirements, and necessary support.

Together, Cantilan prepares to welcome and support this important provincial event.

The Cantilan Studies Center proudly congratulates the Municipality and the people of Cantilan for the adoption of our official Municipal Hymn - IPASIGARBO AN CANTILAN.

We commend the efforts of our Local Government Unit headed by Hon. Philip A. Pichay, CPA, Municipal Mayor, Hon. Florena A. Uriarte, the lead proponent of this historic endeavor, and the entire Sangguniang Bayan, for their unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting our local identity through music.

This hymn, composed by our very own Mr. Zandro C. Urbiztondo, is a beautiful tribute to our history, our people, our culture, and the bright future ahead of us.

May this song unite us all, whether we are at home or abroad, and remind us always of the beauty of Cantilan.

Important Reminder for Rice Farmers!

Farmers are advised to visit the Municipal Agriculture Office, located at P-2, Calagdaan, this municipality to file their Claim for Indemnity at least 20 days before harvest.

Only farmers who are enrolled in the Crop Insurance of the PCIC are eligible to file for Claim for Indemnity. The MAO is available Mondays through Fridays, between 8am to 5pm.

Ma’am Sol U. Buniel, New Public Schools District Supervisor in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur paid a courtesy call on Mayor Philip A. Pichay on August 24, 2026, together with School Heads Annaliza T. Luarez and Florelyn G. Cruz.

The group, together with Municipal Assistant Treasurer Mary Jane C. Cantutay, also discussed matters concerning the Special Education Fund (SEF), particularly its management and utilization through the Local School Board in support of the district’s educational programs and needs.
