TANONG NG BAYAN | Ano ang mga dapat na paglaananan ng pondo o budget ng barangay?

Ang pondo o budget ng mga barangay ay nararapat ilaan sa mga mandatory o statutory obligations gaya ng Personal Services na kinakailangang may nakalaang 55% na budget; Development Fund na 20%; Sangguniang Kabataan na 10%; Calamity Fund na 5%; Gender and Development na 5%; Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) na 1%; Sapat na pondo para sa pagpapatupad ng Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act o ang RA No. 9165, at iba pang mga kinakailangang pondo para sa operasyon ng Barangay Peace and Order Committee.

LOOK | As a Beneficiary of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP). The Department of Interior and Local Government Municipal Field Office of Cantilan headed by Engr. Mark Anthony C. Obani, MLGOO together with Mary Lou M. Comaya, CDO 1 with the support of the Municipal Mayor of Cantilan, Hon. Philip A. Pichay. UGNAYAN SA BARANGAY activity was conducted last May 6-10, 2024 on the following Beneficiary Barangays.

- BARANGAY GENERAL ISLAND
- BARANGAY CALAGDAAN
- BARANGAY BUGSUKAN
- BARANGAY CONSUELO
- BARANGAY MAGASANG

The primary aim of this activity is to foster community engagement and address pressing issues within the barangay by encouraging active participation from residents. Through this initiative, the community endeavors to identify and prioritize its top challenges, facilitating targeted interventions and solutions. Ultimately, the activity yields a comprehensive understanding of the top 10 issues and concerns in the barangays, along with their proposed resolutions.

MONDAY | May 8, 2023

The Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), Engr. Mark Anthony C. Obani joined the weekly session of the Legislative Department of the Municipality of Cantilan presided by the Municipal Vice - Mayor Rodrigo L. Eleazar last Monday, May 8, 2023.

The MLGOO shared and discussed the legalities on the conduct of "Cockfighting" in the municipality. They also tackled other issues and concerns related on the matter.
