MDRRMO CANTILAN PERSONNEL EARN NATIONAL CERTIFICATION III IN LIFEGUARD SERVICES

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Cantilan, under the leadership of Engr. Ale Boy U. Duero, proudly congratulates its two personnel for successfully completing the competencies and earning the National Certification (NC) III in Lifeguard Services.

The personnel, Kriss Jun P. Dumanon and Julius A. Orozco, excelled in completing all required competencies during the assessment conducted in San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands, equipping them with nationally recognized skills in lifeguarding, water safety, rescue operations, and emergency response.

This achievement reflects MDRRMO Cantilan’s continued commitment to developing highly trained and competent responders who are prepared to protect lives and strengthen disaster preparedness and public safety in the municipality.

EARTHQUAKE DRILL CONDUCTED AT CENRO CANTILAN

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Cantilan, headed by Engr. Ale Boy U. Duero, successfully conducted an Earthquake Drill for the personnel of the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) – Cantilan.

The activity aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness, enhance awareness of proper emergency response procedures, and reinforce the importance of coordinated actions during seismic events. Participants practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique, orderly evacuation, and accountability procedures to ensure readiness in the event of a real earthquake.

MDRRMO Cantilan remains committed to promoting a culture of disaster preparedness and resilience through continuous capacity-building activities and partnerships with government agencies and stakeholders.
