Gamit Pang-Eskwela Initiative | Brgy. Ninoy Aquino, Canlaon City

To reach students in remote areas of Canlaon City, the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), launched the Gamit Pang-Eskwela Initiative—a school supply distribution activity for learners in Barangay Ninoy Aquino.

This initiative was funded by the Local Government Unit of Canlaon City, led by Mayor Batchuk Cardenas, through the Local Youth Development Plan and Budget. A total of 240 student beneficiaries received customized school bags, intermediate pads, ballpens, pencils, pencil cases, crayons, plastic envelopes, bond papers, and construction papers.

The activity was made possible through the leadership of Hon. Janvie Endrina, SK Federation President of Canlaon City, and Hon. Joeven Bartolano, SK Chairperson of Brgy. Ninoy Aquino with the guidance of Ms. Edna Lhou Masicampo, Local Youth Dev’t Officer-Designate.

Special thanks to Mayor Cardenas for supporting this initiative, Nick Delubio (Education Advocacy Chairperson), the school head of Brgy. Ninoy Aquino, the LDRRMO team for providing transportation, and to all the volunteers who helped make this outreach a success.

Together, we are shaping a brighter future for the youth of Canlaon.
