Meaningful discussions held in a beautiful campus. 📚🍃

Thank you CPSU- Hinobaan Campus Library, headed by Mr. Ro-an Tacsagon, RL, for the successful hosting of the quarterly University-wide Librarians’ Meeting today, August 13, 2026. The librarians also thank the support of the campus administration, led by Ms. Sheila T. Calago, MBA, Campus Administrator, and facilitated by Ms. May Ann Caliplip, Campus OIC, for the warm welcome and generous accomodation.

The librarians held a fruitful and meaningful gathering, discussing crucial library issues and future linkages, activities, and budgetary requirements. The day also tackled the Re-echo seminar discussion of the previously attended DRRM training.

This meeting of minds signifies the strong commitment of each campus to the betterment of the university’s library services—aimed for the vision of quality and technologically-driven education for all Cenphilians.

𝟲𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

In accordance with Proclamation No. 563, s. 1959, Public Library Day is celebrated every March 9. The , together with public libraries nationwide, leads the celebration to highlight the important role of public libraries in promoting knowledge, literacy, and lifelong learning. This year’s celebration of Public Library Day is a milestone in our shared commitment to lifelong learning for every Filipino. As we move into the second year of our three-year roadmap, we are shifting from the
Foundation Phase (2025) to the Action Phase (2026).

In 2025, our focus was on the “how”, guiding LGUs to set up their public libraries and affiliate with the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) for technical support. This year, we highlight the “why.” We want to make it clear that Philippine public libraries are more than quiet spaces with books. They are dynamic, community- building hubs, “as living blueprints” that strengthen learning, connection, and empowerment in every community.

print the poster using the editable version on Canva and display it prominently in their respective libraries.
