LCRO Candon City Recognized as the Top Local Civil Registry Office in Ilocos Sur.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Ilocos Sur, in partnership with the Ilocos Sur Association of Civil Registrars (ISACR), successfully held the 2025 Provincial LCRO Awards and Oath-Taking Ceremony on June 11, 2026, in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

On 22 April 2026, PSA RSSO I, in partnership with the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Candon and PSO Ilocos Sur, conducted an information dissemination and mobile registration activity under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) at Patpata 1st, Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

The activity aimed to assist targeted beneficiaries through birth registration services and discussions on the registration process, documentary requirements, and the importance of birth certificates as proof of legal identity. Through BRAP, the PSA continues its commitment to achieve universal registration, especially among underserved communities, Indigenous Peoples, Muslims, and individuals living far from their place of birth.
