Notice of Water Interruption:

A leak at the District's main distribution line was detected along barangay road of Sto. Tomas, Candon City, thus, a repair activity will be conducted tomorrow (May 4, 2026) from 12:00 NN to 8:00 PM. Consumers are advised to store water to be used on this duration.

Scheduled Water Service Interruption

The District will rehabilitate the Protective wall of the Infiltration Gallery at Buaya River, Atabay, Salcedo, Ilocos Sur, and this will affect the water supply as it may make the water turbid. Thus, to prevent such from being supplied, operations will temporarily be stopped, Thus no water will be supplied to all concession areas, but will resume at the indicated time on the images provided.

All consumers are also reminded that in case you find your water turbid, please refrain from using such in any kind of food preparation, or any activity that you may ingest such water. Please flush it for at least 3 minutes or until water becomes clear.

Water Service Interruption:

As water from Buaya River continuously declines, water supply will be limited. Thus, a Rotational Water Service Interruption will be implemented starting April 16 onwards .(please refer to the images for the list of barangays affected)

This scenario will last until water level at Buaya River increases or normalized. Thus, we advise all consumers to store water during their scheduled time. Please bear with us for the inconvenience as we continue to find ways to serve you better. Stay safe!

Also, scheduled time is subject to change depending on the actual situation of water supply from the water source.

𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

The District will implement Rotational Water Service Interruption starting April 7, 2026 from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm (no water in the morning). This is due to the constant decline of water level of Buaya River, which affects the water production of the District.

This interruption shall cover the some of the barangays of Salcedo. And this shall last until water level at Buaya River increases or normalized. Thus, we advise all consumers to store water during their scheduled time. Please bear with us for the inconvenience as we continue to find ways to serve you better. Stay safe!

With the Implementation of the Compressed Workweek, Collection of Water Bill Payment will be from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM only from Mondays to Thursdays.

Consumers may also opt to pay their bills thru Gcash, Maya, SaveMore, and other Merchant Partners of ECPay.

PUBLIC ADVISORY:

Pursuant to the Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 114, the Candon city Water District will implement a Compressed Workweek Arrangement starting Monday, March 16, 2026. This is in order to conserve energy and reduce operational costs while maintaining continuous service.

Due to the power interruption at Salcedo, our stations were currently using Generator Set and that it could only power a single pump, thus affecting the water supply.
