Salapungan is a barangay of the philippine municipality Candaba in the province Pampanga in Central Luzon which is part of the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Candaba with a population of about 96,589 and its 33 barangays belongs to the partly urban areas in the Philippines. Salapungan had 5,730 residents by the end of 2007.
