Barangay Garganera Ecological Solid Waste Management IEC Campaign Distribution - JANUARY 2026

Showcasing its dedication to environmental sustainability and community pride. With the support of Punong Barangay, Hon. Julius M. Pates, alongside his hardworking team, the barangay demonstrates significant strides toward a cleaner and greener community. Under the leadership of Committee Chairman on Environmental Protection, Hon. Evelina P. agas and the barangay council, Garganera remains committed to creating a sustainable and environmentally conscious barangay.

Barangay Garganera Initiatives:
•Wet & Dry Waste Segregation
•Backyard Compost Pit/Bin
•Maintains an organized Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) with separate sections for bottles, plastic bottles, and cans.

These initiatives highlight Barangay Garganera innovative approach to environmental conservation and community empowerment.

Community Engagement | Distribution of VAWC IEC Materials - JANUARY 2026

The Committee Chairman on VAWC, Hon. Ida N. Pates, conducted the distribution of IEC materials to residents entitled "VAWal Yan!" covering topics on anti-criminality, VAWC (Violence Against Women and Children)
This Barangay initiative aims to promote public awareness and strengthen community participation in the fight against crime, violence, drug abuse, and terrorism. Know your rights under the Anti-VAWC Act. 🌼working together for a safer and more informed community.

ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN ON HAPAG SA BARANGAY PROJECT - JANUARY 2026

The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) - Barangay GARGANERA uphold its commitment in delivering sustainable agriculture initiatives which is the intensification and fostering agricultural activities such as establishing barangay community gardens (gulayan sa barangay), wherein households and communities will be encouraged to produce fresh, healthy, and affordable fruits and vegetables from backyard and spaces.
Therefore, the BLGU Garganera headed by Kap. Julius M. Pates and Chairperson on Agriculture Committee Kag. Jocelyn M. Gato in partnership with 4P's members & volunteers successfully concluded the Advocacy Campaign on Halina’t Magtanim Ng Prutas At Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay Project as part of promoting agricultural backyard gardening.

Say No to Illegal Drugs. Say Yes to a Better Future.

Under the Barangay initiative "BIDA" (Buha'y Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan) reaffirms its commitment to a safe, healthy, and drug-free barangay.
As part of the province-wide campaign, we are intensifying our advocacy efforts by reaching out to all sectors from schools, households and workplaces to strengthen community awareness and participation in the fight against illegal drugs.
💡 A key component of this initiative is the dissemination of Information and Education Campaign (IEC) materials designed to inform, empower, and mobilize communities. These materials aim to foster responsible decision-making, promote preventive education, and encourage active citizen engagement at all levels.
We call on all stakeholders parents, educators, youth, health workers, barangay officials, and civil society to support this campaign and help amplify the message of a drug-free community.
🌟 Through collective action and shared responsibility, we can break the cycle of drug abuse and build a safer, more resilient barangay.
