This recognition reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound financial management.

We commend the leadership of City Mayor Raymund "Monmon" C. Uy and the dedication of the finance committee, including our very own City Accountant, Vauhn Wan P. Uy, along with City Treasurer Ma. Evelyn Obong-Junio and City Budget Officer Agnes Rueda Dordines.

CONGRATULATIONS to the City of Calbayog for passing the 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH).

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) awards the GFH certification to local government units that demonstrate exemplary fiscal transparency and accountability, following a thorough assessment and validation.

Kudos to City Mayor Raymund C. Uy for his leadership, and to the outstanding work of the city’s finance committee, which includes City Treasurer Ma. Evelyn Obong-Junio, City Accountant Vauhn Wan Uy, and City Budget Officer Agnes Rueda Dordines.

It is with deep honor that the City Government of Calbayog receives the plaque of recognition from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as BIR Partner and as 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙥 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 of this District in 2024. This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to nation-building and the continued cooperation with the Bureau in advancing its programs and activities.

The award was formally presented on March 4, 2025, at the BIR Building in Brgy. Bagacay, Calbayog City, Samar, and was received by our City Accountant, Mr. Vauhn Wan P. Uy.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Revenue District Office No. 87, for this honor. This achievement would not have been possible without the steadfast leadership and support of our esteemed City Mayor, Hon. Raymund "Monmon" C. Uy , whose guidance has been pivotal in our success.

We remain dedicated to our role as a valuable stakeholder in nation-building and look forward to further strengthening our partnership with BIR.

Last night, we gathered to honor and celebrate the retirement of five exceptional individuals from the Office of the City Accountant. With heartfelt gratitude, we recognize their years of dedicated service and invaluable contributions to our office and the LGU of Calbayog. Wishing them all a fulfilling and joyful retirement, filled with new opportunities, relaxation, and cherished moments. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and legacy.
