I. Program Objectives
The PinyaSayaw 2026 Inter-Sitio Pop Dance Showdown aims to:
1. Foster camaraderie and spirit among the different Sitios within Minapasuk through friendly competition.
2. Inspire physical activity and wellness across all generations through the art of dance.
3. Showcase the local talents of Minapasuk, blending modern pop culture with community spirit.
4. Bring together youth, adults, and senior citizens, proving that dance and community engagement know no age limits.
II. Mechanics and Contest Guidelines
1. Eligibility and Registration
• The competition is strictly open to residents of the various Sitios within Minapasuk.
• Each Sitio may send one (1) official dance contingent to represent them.
• Pre-registration is required. To register, Sitio representatives must contact:

2. Group Composition (Inclusivity Rule)
• Each group must consist of a minimum of 10 members and a maximum of 15 members.
• Groups must be a combination of Male and Female participants.
• To promote the goal of inclusivity, each group MUST include representatives from the following three age categories:
• Youth
• Adults
• Senior Citizens
3. Performance Guidelines
• Genre: The performance must be a Pop Dance routine (uplifting, modern music).
• Theme: While the core genre is pop, creative nods to local culture (e.g., incorporating the pineapple theme or local movements) are highly encouraged within the pop choreography.
• Time Limit: (Standard convention: 3 to 5 minutes) Recommended: Performances should be between 3 and 5 minutes, including entrance and exit.
• Music: Groups must provide their own edited music on a USB drive to the sound technician at least one hour before the event. Music must be appropriate for all ages (no offensive language).
• Props & Costumes: Props are allowed but must not pose a danger to dancers or the audience. Costumes should be creative and appropriate for family viewing.
4. Criteria for Judging
(Standard breakdown based on the poster’s theme):
• Choreography (30%): Originality, creativity, formations, and smoothness of transitions.
• Performance & Ex*****on (30%): Energy, timing, synchronization, and technique.
• Inclusivity & Synergy (20%): How well the different age groups work together and are integrated into the routine.
• Overall Impact & Costume (20%): Crowd appeal, stage presence, and appropriateness of attire.
5. Ground Rules
• The judge's decision is final and irrevocable.
• Groups must arrive at the venue for assembly at least [6:00 PM on May 23, 2026].
• Unsportsmanlike conduct from participants or their supporters may result in disqualification.
