The 1701st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion administered by 1701 CDC 17RCDG RCPA attended various coordinating meetings by LGU MDRRMOs at Oriental Mindoro in preparation for the possible onslaught of "TS Opong". HADR Teams of Bravo and Charlie Company were on standby alert at their respective localities to augment MDRRMOs in the municipalities of Naujan, Victoria, Bongabong and Roxas. TS Opong is expected to cross Mindoro Island later today. Your Reservists is always ready to provide assistance in coordination with Local Government Units in times of calamities.

"If we cannot DO great things, let us DO small things with LOVE"// On 090730 August 2025, the 17RCDG, RCPA composed of personnel from 1701 Community Defense Center, Charlie Company of 1701 Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, Villa Cervesa CAA Patrol Base, PNP counterparts from RMFB 4B and Victoria MPS jointly conducted an Outreach Program through Feeding of students from Sigkuran Mangyan School in Sitio Logpan Brgy Villa Cervesa, Victoria Oriental Mindoro. Said activity was in conjunction with the RESCOM Wide program in extending services to the local populace which brings smiles to the IP students and parents.

AT YOUR SERVICE // On 231800 July 2025, 1701 CDC mobilized the Emergency Response Teams of 1701 Ready Reserve Infantry Battalions augmented by advance ROTC Cadets covering Oriental Mindoro. The ERTs were augmented to PDRRMO, CDRRMO, and MDRRMO particularly in Calapan City and municipalities of Baco, Naujan, Victoria, Socorro, Bongabong and Roxas of Oriental Mindoro to assist in their efforts for HADR Operations. The Province of Oriental Mindoro was one of the affected locality by TS Dante and Southeast Monsoon with flooded areas.

AMIDST THE STORM// The 1701st Community Defense Center 17RCDG RESERVE COMMAND PHILIPPINE ARMY in collaboration with the 1st CMO Company, 2CMOB CMOR PA, 1IB and 4IB conducted a series of ROTC Advocacy Program during NSTP Orientation to the Tertiary Students of PCST Inc Roxas, PMFTCI and SIBTECH in Pinamalayan, and ICST Bongabong, all of Oriental Mindoro. It aims to entice students to join the ROTC implemented by the Philippine Army, awaken sense of patriotism, and develop their sense of social responsibility. The ROTC Program was anchored on RA 9163 known as NSTP Law and RA 7077 - the Citizen Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservists Act.The 1701 CDC is your partner in the Citizen Armed Forces building in Oriental Mindoro.
