MSSD Calanogas Unit Office Conducts 3-Day Social
Pension Payout

The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) - Calanogas Unit Office, in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) and the Local Social Welfare and Development Office (LSWDO) of Calanogas, successfully implemented the Social Pension Program payout for indigent senior citizens on August 10-12, 2026 at the Gymnasium, Barangay Pantaon, Calanogas,
Lanao del Sur.

During the three-day activity, more than 1,000 social pensioners were served, each receiving a monthly stipend of P1,000 covering the period from January to June 2026.

This initiative underscores MSSD's continuing commitment to uphold the welfare of senior citizens and ensure that their rights and needs are duly supported.

💜18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against
Women💜

The MSSD Unit Office of Calanogas, with the strong support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Abdulhakim A. Benito, successfully conducted today's advocacy activity as part of the nationwide campaign to end violence against women.

The program featured inspiring messages and active participation from our community, highlighting our shared commitment to protect and empower women and children. One of the key moments was the insightful discussion led by Pat. Jalilah P. Maute on Violence Against Women (VAW), which deepened understanding and strengthened awareness among participants.

This meaningful event was held on December 4, 2025, bringing together participants through workshops, presentations, and collective dialogue that emphasized unity, education, and action in ending violence.

We thank our speakers, facilitators, and participants for their dedication. The LGU of Calanogas continues to stand firm in supporting initiatives that safeguard women's rights and build a safer, more inclusive community.
