The month began with a celebration of faith as BJMP CALABARZON Region, through the Regional Chaplaincy Service Office, held its First Wednesday Mass at the St. Joseph the Worker Chapel, 5/F, BJMPRO-CALABARZON, Brgy. Turbina, Calamba City, Laguna.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by guest priest Rev. Fr. Mark Anthony V Cayago and sponsored by the Regional Program and Development Division and the Regional Health Service Division.

The gathering provided personnel an opportunity to pause, reflect, and renew their faith as they continue to fulfill their duties in public service.

Strengthening partnerships for inclusive and accessible education, BJMP CALABARZON Region participated in the 3-Day Regional Consultative Conference for ALS Focal Persons and selected SDO Officials held on August 26–28, 2026, at The Monaco Strip, Ortigas Avenue Extension, Taytay, Rizal.

The conference brought together DepEd CALABARZON officials, ALS focal persons, implementers, and key division leaders for policy orientation, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning to further strengthen the implementation of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and the implementation of the BJMP–DepEd partnership in providing educational opportunities to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Through sustained collaboration, BJMP CALABARZON and DepEd CALABARZON continue to strengthen learning opportunities that support the development, rehabilitation, and reintegration of PDL.

As the BJMP CALABARZON Region joins the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, we recognize our jail officers and civilian personnel who embody the spirit of a Lingkod Bayani through faithful, compassionate, and committed service.

Reflecting on the efforts made in ensuring the reformation of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) nationwide, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) reports a decline in jail congestion nationwide on Thursday, August 20.

According to BJMP chief Jail Director Efren NemeΓ±o, the national jail congestion rate declined from 292 percent to 281 percent, putting an emphasis on the bureau’s continued efforts in managing and supervising the country’s jail system.

Sa paggunita ng Araw ng mga Bayani, binibigyang-pugay ng Bureau of Jail Management and Penology ang lahat ng bayaning nag-alay ng kanilang tapang, panahon, at buhay para sa kalayaan at kinabukasan ng ating bansa.

Nawa’y magsilbi ang kanilang kabayanihan bilang inspirasyon sa bawat Pilipino na ipagpatuloy ang paglilingkod nang may disiplina, malasakit, at pananagutan.

Ang kabayanihan ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa mga dakilang sakripisyo, kundi maging sa araw-araw na tapat na paglilingkod para sa kapwa at bayan.
