PNP STATEMENT ON THE INCIDENT DURING THE PRESS BRIEFING

The Philippine National Police (PNP) upholds the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and respect in all official engagements, particularly in press briefings and interactions with oversight bodies and the media.

During the press briefing held this afternoon, June 3, 2026, a police officer was invited to clarify his involvement in a vehicular traffic incident that occurred on June 2, 2026 along MLQ Avenue corner Mauling Creek, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Taguig City. The incident involved two vehicles and had earlier been resolved through an amicable settlement between the parties concerned.

While responding to questions during the briefing, the officer made an inappropriate remark directed at a senior official, which was made in the presence of members of the media and disrupted the orderly conduct of the proceedings. The officer was subsequently directed to step out of the press briefing area in order to maintain proper decorum.

The PNP does not condone any form of disrespectful conduct or language that undermines discipline, professionalism, and the integrity of official public forums. The concerned personnel will be subjected to appropriate administrative review in accordance with existing rules and due process.

The PNP assures the public that the matter will be addressed with fairness, accountability, and transparency, consistent with its commitment to a disciplined and professional police service.

PBGEN Hansel M Marantan, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 4A, presided over the Command Conference of Batangas Police Provincial Office, today, held at the Batangas City Convention Center, Batangas City, Batangas.

The conference served as a venue to assess current accomplishments, address key concerns, and strengthen coordination among police leaders in advancing effective law enforcement and public safety initiatives throughout the region, in line with the mandate of the Philippine National Police to enforce the law, to prevent and control crimes, to maintain peace and order and ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of the community.

The activity also aligned with the focused agenda of Chief, PNP, PGen Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr., particularly on enhanced managing police operations and the continuous monitoring and promotion of personnel morale and welfare.

Through the conference, police commanders were reminded of the importance of effective leadership, operational readiness, accountability, and ensuring the well-being of personnel to further strengthen the organization's capability to deliver responsive and quality police service.

Meanwhile, PBGEN Marantan directed commanders to strengthen values formation and mentorship programs, emphasizing humility, self-restraint, discipline, and professionalism among personnel. In light of recent incidents involving police officers, he reminded all members to remain mindful of their conduct, uphold ethical standards, and maintain the public's trust through accountability and exemplary behavior.

𝐋𝐢𝐦 — Umabot sa 41 indibidwal ang naaresto at 343.63 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value na ₱2,336,664.00 ang nasamsam sa magkakahiwalay na anti-illegal drug operations ng Police Regional Office 4A sa loob ng 24 oras, mula alas-6:00 ng umaga ng Hunyo 2 hanggang alas-6:00 ng umaga ng Hunyo 3, 2026.

Ayon sa PRO 4A, nagsagawa ang iba’t ibang operating units ng 28 anti-illegal drug operations na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng mga drug personalities at pagkakasamsam ng malalaking halaga ng ilegal na droga sa rehiyon.

Sa Lucena City, naaresto ang High Value Individual (HVI) na si alyas “Archie” at Street Level Individual (SLI) na si alyas “Robinson” sa buy-bust operation ng Lucena Component City Police Station, Quezon MARPSTA, at RIU 4A PIT North Quezon sa Barangay Ibabang Iyam noong madaling araw ng Hunyo 3, 2026.

Nakumpiska ang humigit-kumulang 150 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may Standard Drug Price na ₱1,020,000.00, kasama ang sling bag at buy-bust money. Kinasuhan ang mga suspek sa paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11, Article II ng Republic Act No. 9165.
Sa Lucban, Quezon, naaresto rin ang HVI na si alyas “Jian” sa operasyon ng Municipal Drug Enforcement Team ng Lucban Municipal Police Station sa Barangay Ayuti noong Hunyo 2, 2026.
Nakuha mula sa kanya ang 54 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may halagang ₱367,200.00, kasama ang digital weighing scale at drug paraphernalia.

Samantala, sa Cainta, Rizal, tatlong High Value Individuals na kinilalang sina alyas “Dan,” “John,” at “Ian” ang nadakip ng Station Drug Enforcement Team ng Cainta Municipal Police Station sa buy-bust operation sa Barangay San Andres noong Hunyo 2, 2026. Nasamsam mula sa mga suspek ang 100 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may Standard Drug Price na ₱680,000.00, kasama ang pouch at buy-bust money.

Ang mga nasabing operasyon ay bahagi ng tuloy-tuloy na pinaigting na kampanya ng PRO CALABARZON laban sa ilegal na droga, na nagresulta sa sunod-sunod na matagumpay na operasyon sa rehiyon sa loob ng 24 oras.

Nasa kustodiya na ng mga kapulisan ang mga naarestong suspek habang inihahanda ang kaukulang kaso para sa paglabag sa Republic Act No. 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Binigyang-diin ni Regional Director, PBGEN Hansel M Marantan na ang mga operasyong ito ay patunay ng matatag na paninindigan ng PRO 4A sa kampanya kontra ilegal na droga alinsunod sa mandato ng Philippine National Police at sa Focused Agenda ni Chief, PNP, PGen Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr.

“Hindi kailanman titigil ang kapulisan ng CALABARZON sa pagtupad sa kanilang tungkulin upang panagutin ang mga lumalabag sa batas. Walang puwang sa ating rehiyon ang ilegal na droga, at patuloy naming poprotektahan ang ating mga komunidad,” pahayag ni PBGEN Marantan.

Patuloy na hinihikayat ng PRO CALABARZON ang publiko na makiisa at magbigay ng impormasyon upang mapalakas pa ang kampanya kontra kriminalidad sa rehiyon. (RPIO4A)

Kaugnay ng kumakalat na video sa social media hinggil sa isang vehicular incident na naganap sa Taguig City noong Hunyo 2, 2026, agad na kumilos ang pamunuan ng Rizal PPO upang tugunan ang insidente.

Bilang agarang hakbang, ang nasabing personnel ay agad tinanggal sa kanyang unit habang isinasagawa ang kaukulang beripikasyon at pagsusuri sa insidente kaakibat narin ang masinsing imbestigasyon upang ang sangkot na pulis ay mapanagot ayon sa mga umiiral na regulasyon at sa ating mga kaukulang batas.

Pinagtitibay ng Rizal PPO na walang sinuman ang higit sa batas, at anumang alegasyon ng maling asal o paglabag sa umiiral na alituntunin ay bibigyan ng atensyon, tiyak at kaukulang aksyon.

Patuloy na naninindigan ang Rizal PPO sa pagsusulong ng propesyonalismo, integridad, disiplina, at pananagutan sa hanay ng kapulisan, alinsunod sa aming tungkuling maglingkod at mangalaga sa mamamayan.

Mahigpit na pinapaalalahanan ang lahat ng ating mga kapulisan na sa lahat ng pagkakataon ay pairalin ang disiplina, pagpipigil sa sarili, at mataas na antas ng propesyonalismo. Hindi kukunsintihin ng Rizal PPO ang anumang asal na maaaring makasira sa tiwala ng publiko sa ating organisasyon.
