𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 – 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Municipality of Calabanga proudly marked the finale of this year’s celebration with the recognition of our 2026 Women Employees of the Year and empowering sessions that uplifted the voices of women in governance, service, and community life. 💜✨

Anchored on the sub‑theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas”, the program highlighted the strength of women leaders who, like the babaylans of old, embody resilience, wisdom, and collective care. From disability sensitivity orientation to mental well‑being and resilience talks, the event reminded us that inclusivity and empowerment go hand in hand.

This culminating program is not just a closing ceremony, but a renewed call to action: WE can be equal, WE can be empowered, and WE can make change work for women.

This afternoon, we proudly celebrated National Women’s Month with a special program dedicated to empowering girls with special needs and women with disabilities. 💜

The highlight of the event was the inspiring talk “Nurturing Strength and Self-Worth: Empowering Girls with Special Needs and Women with Disabilities” delivered by Ms. Glysee E. Teodoro, LPT.

✨ The celebration was made even more meaningful with the active participation of:

SPED Classes from Calabanga Central Division Pilot School
Manguiring Elementary School
Calabanga National Science High School
Women with Disabilities
4Ps beneficiaries

Together, we shared stories, talents, and solidarity—proving that inclusivity and empowerment go hand in hand. The day concluded with Musika Para Sa Mga Kababaihan, a joyful tribute to women’s voices and resilience. 🎶

RIZAL MEMORIAL COLISEUM, 06 MARCH 2026 — As the Philippines kicked off the National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) on March 6, 2026, and amid recent gender-based remarks by public figures against women, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) urged Filipinas to lead like the Babaylans—women leaders of pre-colonial Filipino communities who held authority equal to men and guided their people with wisdom, courage, and service.

This year’s celebration underscores women’s leadership as a driver of inclusive development and gender equality, gathering over 4,000 participants from government, civil society, the private sector, and the general public at the ‘herstoric’ Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

We extend our gratitude to Ms. Raven C. Shea-Moriño for her insightful discussion on Breaking Gender Stereotypes: Psychological Perspectives. 💜

Her talk shed light on how biases affect women’s opportunities and offered powerful ways to challenge them—reminding us that dismantling stereotypes is essential to building a truly inclusive society.
