In todayโ€™s crisis that we are facing, it's not just the increase in gasoline prices that's affected, but also the prices of goods. In order to help MSMEs, DTI Romblon successfully conducted the seminar entitled, โ€œDigital Biz: Financing Made Easyโ€ on April 14, 2026 at Barangay Poblacion Session Hall, Poblacion, Cajidiocan, Romblon with participation of 15 MSMEs.

Mr. Lance Acedera, P3 Junior Coordinator Romblon of Small Business Corporation, was the Resource Person for the activity. He discussed all about the MSME Business Fund, how MSMEs will benefit from it, and introduced the Small Business Corporation Loan Program-that will give aid to MSMEs who are interested in continuing and propagating their businesses.

This activity aimed to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to financing options to enhance their competitiveness and resilience.

This creation is made from pandan and coconut, which is why I named it the โ€œPan de Coco Outfit.โ€ I used materials from different parts of the coconut tree, as every part of this tree is truly remarkable.

I combined these with pandan materials, which represent my hometown, Corcuera. Through this design, I aim to make the wearer feel confident and graceful.

Ang โ€œKopra de Niyogโ€ ay isang makabuluhang kasuotan na nagpapakita ng kagandahan ng niyog at ng tradisyunal na paggawa ng kopra. Ginamit ang buray, bao, at bunot bilang pangunahing materyales upang ilarawan ang ibaโ€™t ibang yugto ng prosesoโ€”mula pag-aani hanggang pagpapatuyo.

Higit pa sa disenyo, simbolo ito ng sipag, tiyaga, at kabuhayan ng mga Romblomanon, kung saan ang bawat detalye ay sumasalamin sa kasaysayan at kultura ng industriya ng kopra. Sa kabuuan, isa itong modernong interpretasyon ng tradisyon na nagpapakita ng yaman ng kalikasan at galing ng lokal na sining.

"Ani it Pangabuhi" represents the good harvest of every farmer and crop producers here in Odiongan. From root crops to fruits, Farmers dedicate their hands to bring food to the table.

Farmers move with a grace born of generations, climbing trunks, to claim the harvest. It is a labor of love that turns simple white meat into oil, milk, and hope for the Odionganons.

Carrying the Basket of Harvest, it represents the "Pangabuhi" of every farmer that just like "Niyog" they are Strong, Diligent and Resilient in all aspects.

Niyog, an emblem of life and stability, depicts the "Pangabuhi" of every coconut farmer of Odiongan. From the cultivated lands of Odiongan, "Nyog" grows from every corner; it offers everything from roots to the tip of its leaves.

The place itself represents elements that can be found in Odiongan: Carabao, that represents stability and diligence, the "Farmers" that represents the hands that cultivates and the "Coconut Tree" that represents the life and growth of the land. At the back, the "Mountains" represents the "Kabundukan" of Odiongan where life to sprouts and bears fruit and food that nurtures every Odionganon. And the "Tribal Ptterns" honoring the ancestors who started it all-their masipag, matatag, and matibay spirit lives on in every aspect.

This piece began not with fabric, but with the gathering of coconut sheath (coco cloth)โ€”carefully selected, cleaned, and shaped by hand. Each piece was meticulously cut into scale-like forms and layered one by one to create texture, movement, and depth, mimicking the natural flow of leaves and earth.

The bodice was constructed with precision, while the skirt gradually grew fuller with every layer, transforming raw coco cloth into a regal silhouette. Fringes and woven details were thoughtfully added to soften the structure, blending strength with artistry.

What was once a simple coconut sheath has been transformed into a powerful expression of craftsmanshipโ€”elevated into a queenโ€™s attire, deeply rooted in the spirit of Odiongan.
