PNP STATEMENT

The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirms its swift and decisive action in connection with a hazing incident involving cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).

The incident was immediately acted upon, resulting in the custody of all individuals involved for proper investigation and legal proceedings.

The PNP enforces a strict and unwavering zero-tolerance policy against hazing and all forms of maltreatment, which are grave violations of law and institutional discipline.

Let this serve as a clear and unequivocal position: the PNP will not protect, tolerate, or excuse any act of hazing or abuse. Those found responsible will face full legal accountability, administrative sanctions, and the loss of the privilege to serve in the institution. There will be no cover-up and no leniency.

Command responsibility shall be strictly applied. Any lapse in leadership, supervision, or discipline will be addressed accordingly under existing rules and regulations.

Justice will be pursued to its full extent. The PNP assures the public that due process will be observed and that all those responsible will be held accountable without fear or favor.

All PNPA cadets and personnel are reminded that hazing and any form of abuse have no place in the institution and are strictly prohibited.

The Philippine National Police remains resolute in upholding accountability, enforcing discipline, and safeguarding the rule of law within its ranks.

LALAKI, NASAGIP NG PNP AT COAST GUARD SA BAYBAYIN NG MINDORO

Agad na nailigtas ng mga tauhan ng Calapan City Police Station (CPS), katuwang ang Philippine Coast Guard, ang isang lalaki na muntik nang malunod sa baybayin ng Barangay Parang noong Abril 3, 2026.

Ayon sa ulat, napansin ng mga pulis na naka-duty sa Police Assistance Desk ang isang indibidwal na hirap na hirap na sa tubig. Hindi nag-atubili sina Pat. Paul Jerald Roxas at mga kasamahan mula sa Coast Guard na rumesponde, at matagumpay na naiahon ang biktima. Ligtas itong naibalik sa kanyang pamilya matapos mabigyan ng agarang tulong.

Pinuri ni Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., ang ipinakitang malasakit at kahandaan ng mga rumespondeng tauhan.

“Ang ganitong uri ng serbisyo ang tunay na sukatan ng pagiging pulis—handa sa oras ng pangangailangan. Hindi lang ito trabaho, kundi malasakit sa kapwa,” ani PGEN Nartatez. “Sa panahon ng summer vacation kung kailan mas maraming pumupunta sa mga beach at pasyalan, mahalaga ang presensya at kahandaan ng ating kapulisan.”

Kaugnay nito, pinaalalahanan ng PNP ang publiko na ugaliing mag-ingat sa paglangoy, iwasan ang pagpunta sa malalalim na bahagi ng dagat kung hindi sanay, at laging bantayan ang mga kasama lalo na ang mga bata. Sa oras ng emergency, agad makipag-ugnayan sa pinakamalapit na awtoridad o tumawag sa Unified 911.

Ang insidenteng ito ay patunay ng tuloy-tuloy na pagbibigay-serbisyo ng kapulisan sa gitna ng mas pinaigting na pagbabantay ngayong tag-init—alinsunod sa Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

PNP AT PCG, SINAGIP ANG TATLONG MENOR DE EDAD SA MALALAKAS NA ALON SA APARRI

Sa gitna ng malalakas na alon at bantang kapahamakan, tatlong kabataang inanod ng dagat ang nasagip mula sa tiyak na panganib—patunay na sa oras ng emergency, ang agarang aksyon ang nagliligtas ng buhay. Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., patuloy na ipinapakita ng Philippine National Police ang malasakit at kahandaan nito sa pagprotekta sa mamamayan.

Noong Abril 1, 2026 sa Aparri, Cagayan, mabilis na tumugon si Police Staff Sergeant Allan Ricardos ng Aparri Police Station kasama ang mga personnel ng Philippine Coast Guard nang tangayin ng alon ang tatlong menor de edad habang nagsu-surfing. Sa kabila ng delikadong sitwasyon sa karagatan, mabilis na kumilos ang mga rescuer upang mailigtas ang mga bata. Sa kanilang dedikasyon at pagsisikap, matagumpay na naiahon ang mga biktima at naibalik nang ligtas sa kanilang mga pamilya.

“This operation shows how important readiness and courage are in saving lives during critical moments,” pahayag ni PGEN Nartatez. “Hindi kami mag-aatubiling tumulong kapag may nalalagay sa panganib. Tungkulin naming siguraduhin ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa.”

Ang insidenteng ito ay sumasalamin sa patuloy na pagsasabuhay ng PNP Focused Agenda—isang direksyon ng pagbabago na naglalayong gawing mas makabuluhan at epektibo ang serbisyo ng kapulisan—kung saan nangingibabaw ang Enhanced Managing Police Operations bilang mahalagang sandigan sa mga ganitong sitwasyon. Sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine Coast Guard at sa suporta ng komunidad, mas napapalakas ang kakayahan ng mga awtoridad na tumugon sa mga insidente sa baybayin.

“Our personnel are always prepared to respond to emergencies and protect those in danger,” dagdag pa ni PGEN Nartatez. “Sa ganitong pagkakataon, mahalaga ang mabilis na aksyon para maiwasan ang mas malalang sitwasyon.”

Patuloy na pinaaalalahanan ng PNP ang publiko na maging maingat sa pagpunta sa mga baybayin at sumunod sa mga safety advisories, lalo na kung may banta ng malalakas na alon. Hinihikayat din ang agarang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga awtoridad sa oras ng emerhensiya upang maiwasan ang kapahamakan.

Sa bawat pagliligtas ng buhay, pinagtitibay ng PNP ang pangako nitong magsilbi at magprotekta sa sambayanan tungo sa bisyong: “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
