Balulang Production Wells 19 and 26 resumed operations last night (Aug. 30, 2026) at 10:05 p.m. and 11:20 p.m., respectively.

Please be informed that customers in the following areas may experience low pressure to no water due to a power outage from COWD’s power provider, which is affecting the operation of Production Wells No. 19 and 26 in Balulang:

Affected areas:
- Balulang
- Macanhan & Upper Carmen
- Patag
- Bulua

COWD’s Technical Team is currently troubleshooting the affected facilities to restore normal water service as soon as possible.

COWD joins Fiesta Fluvial Parade ⛵️⛵️⛵️

Cagayan de Oro City Water District employees proudly represented the agency in this year’s Fiesta Fluvial Parade in honor of St. Augustine, the patron saint of Cagayan de Oro.

The COWD team assembled as early as 3:00 a.m. along Coastal Road in Gusa, ready to take part in the festive procession. Their bangka, beautifully festooned with colorful banderitas, was prepared and decorated by the dedicated staff of COWD’s Engineering Department, adding a festive touch to the boat as it sailed along the route from Coastal Road to Bugo, Bayabas, and finally to Isla de Oro, the parade’s endpoint.

Among the COWD representatives was A***e Navarro, the only woman aboard the boat. Despite the early call time, A***e said the experience was “most enjoyable” and that it was simply fun to be part of the celebration.

The Fluvial Parade gave COWD employees an opportunity to come together, represent the Water District, and take part in one of Cagayan de Oro’s beloved traditions.

Please be informed that COWD is conducting an emergency leakage repair of a 300mm-diameter steel pipe along Macajalar Road, outside One Oasis.

The repair will result in water service interruption (no water) affecting customers:
• from J.R. Borja corner Macajalar Road up to Pimentel Road
• including Rosario Arcade.

The repair timeline is currently being determined by the technical team. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

P.W. No. 5 located at Reyes Subd. in Brgy. Bugo back in operation at 10:00 p.m., August 25, 2026.

Please be informed that Production Well No. 5 in Bugo is currently not operational. The COWD team is presently checking the facility to determine the cause of the problem, after which emergency repair will be undertaken to restore its operation and water supply as soon as possible.

The affected areas may experience low pressure to no water:

• Bugo
• Puerto
• Casinglot in Tagoloan

Please bear with us as this is an emergency situation, and the repair could not be announced in advance.
