In response to the recent fire incident in 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 17, 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, the 𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, under the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 – 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥–𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫, through 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐃 (𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬), is launching a fundraising drive to support our upcoming 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 for the affected community.

A total of 292 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 were affected by the fire, leaving many in need of 𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆. As part of the 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 2025 celebration and inspired by the theme “𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉: 𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚’𝒔 𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔,” our youth volunteers are stepping forward to extend 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 to those who have lost so much.

💗 All proceeds will be used to purchase medicines and to cover the doctors’ and nurses’ professional fees.

Through this initiative, we aim not only to provide medical relief but also to embody the Red Cross spirit of 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒎—showing that even in times of disaster, the youth can make a difference. 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒔, 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒔. ❤️‍🩹

𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒍𝒚 𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 (𝒀𝑽𝑭𝑪) — a 2-day foundational training that shapes future humanitarian leaders through learning, self-discovery, and teamwork.

The YVFC consists of three key modules:
1️⃣ 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 (𝐘𝐕𝐎𝐌) – This module orients participants about the Red Cross Movement, its 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬. It also aims to instill the spirit of volunteerism through engaging discussions, workshops, and activities.
2️⃣ 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 – This session provides a space for 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, helping participants reflect on their beliefs, motivations, and leadership ideals aligned with the Red Cross mission.
3️⃣ 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – This final module integrates all learnings by focusing on 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 through interactive workshops and group activities that strengthen camaraderie and cooperation.

The 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 serves as the foundation for every Red Cross Youth member, designed to equip participants with essential knowledge on 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑.

Last Thursday, October 2, 2025, a tragic fire broke out in Barangay 17, Cagayan de Oro City, leaving several families displaced and in urgent need of assistance.
Through Project LUNSAD, we are knocking on your kind hearts to extend voluntary donations for the affected families. Every donation counts—your support can provide food, water, beddings, and shelter to those who lost everything in the fire.

Sunday, October 5, 2025, the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗠𝗢𝗖𝗗𝗢) joined hands with passionate 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 for a 𝓒𝓸𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓵 𝓒𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓷-𝓤𝓹 𝓓𝓻𝓲𝓿𝓮 at Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City. 💪✨
