𝐑𝐂𝐖𝐂 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐌unicipality of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬

The RCWC recently provided technical assistance to the Municipality of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental through an Orientation on the Comprehensive Emergency Program for Children (CEPC), as mandated by RA 10821 or the Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act.

The activity was actively participated in by the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) including child representatives.

✅ By the end of the session, the LCPC successfully drafted their CEPC and laid out a roadmap for its finalization and implementation — a major move toward ensuring the safety and well-being of children before, during, and after emergencies.

👏 Kudos to the Municipality of Jimenez for prioritizing children's rights and protection in disaster risk reduction and emergency response!

Maramag LCPC, 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀!

🗓 March 23-25, 𝟐𝟎𝟐6

The Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) of Kibawe, Bukidnon recently conducted an Orientation on the Local Child Protection Policy (LCPP) and crafting of their Child safeguarding policy and protocol, with technical assistance from the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children (RCWC) Region X.

In connection with Republic Act No. 10821, also known as the Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act, and other existing laws ensures that the protection of children before, during, and after emergencies, and other types of abuses are stop before they are committed.

LCPP reinforces the protection of children in all areas of community interaction, especially those involving:

✅LGU Employees & Frontline Workers
✅Private Establishments
✅Social Media and LGU Platforms

During the orientation, LCPC members and child representatives actively participated in discussions and workshops.
By the end of the activity, the council was able to draft both the CEPC and LCPP, which will be finalized in coordination with the Technical Working Group (TWG).

This initiative highlights our strong commitment to building a resilient, child-sensitive, and disaster-ready community in Maramag

Many young people in the Philippines still face gaps in knowledge when it comes to sexual and reproductive health. Only 76% of those aged 15–24 have heard of HIV and AIDS, marking a decline in awareness over the years.

At the same time, the country records around 57 new HIV cases daily, with one-third affecting young people aged 15–24.

Low awareness and limited understanding continue to undermine HIV prevention efforts—highlighting that health education is more important than ever.

We must continue to:
✅ Strengthen HIV education in schools
✅ Expand access to testing and counseling
✅ Raise awareness through youth-friendly campaigns

Providing accurate, age-appropriate information and accessible, youth-friendly services is essential to protect the health and future of young people.

Bawat Batang Babae, Ligtas at May Lakas: Panawagan para sa Proteksyon at Pagkakapantay-pantay

Sa pagdiriwang ng Girl’s Child Week, binibigyang-pugay natin ang lakas, talino, at kakayahan ng bawat batang babae. Karapatan nilang mabuhay nang ligtas, may dignidad, at malaya sa anumang anyo ng karahasan, pang-aabuso, at diskriminasyon. Ang bawat pamilya, komunidad, at institusyon ay paigtingin ang proteksyon para sa mga batang babae, siguraduhing sila ay napapakinggan, nirerespeto, at napapangalagaan sa lahat ng pagkakataon.

Kasabay nito, patuloy nating isulong ang pagbibigay-kapangyarihan sa kanila, sa pamamagitan ng edukasyon, oportunidad, at suporta upang maabot ang kanilang mga pangarap. Ang bawat batang babae ay may potensyal na maging lider, tagapagbago, at inspirasyon sa lipunan. Sama-sama nating likhain ang isang mundong kumikilala sa kanilang halaga at nagbubukas ng mas maliwanag at patas na kinabukasan para sa lahat.
