𝗖𝗗𝗢 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹

The Volunteerism & Active Citizenship Center proudly announces that Mr. Alain Roy M. Romero, City Volunteerism & Active Citizenship Focal Person, has been officially sworn in as a member of the National Volunteer Resource Pool (NVRP) on December 5, 2025, during the International Volunteer Day celebration. The oath-taking was held as part of the Volunteerism Focal Persons (VFP) Summit in Iloilo City, bringing together volunteerism leaders from across the country.

The NVRP is a national network composed of organizations and skilled professionals who contribute to the implementation of the National Volunteer Service Program (NVSP). Members support both local and international volunteer initiatives, promote the culture of volunteerism, and provide technical expertise to strengthen volunteer management systems, all under the mandate of the Volunteer Act of 2007 (RA 9418).

Also sworn in was Dr. Jestoni Babia, President of the City College of Cagayan de Oro, marking another strong representation for the city in national volunteerism efforts.

The Bayanihan team congratulates Mr. Romero and Dr. Babia for this important milestone. Their inclusion in the NVRP brings pride to Cagayan de Oro and reinforces the city’s commitment to nurturing community service, civic participation, and a culture of Kasing-Kasing ug Kalidad volunteerism.
