Last November 20, five of our most talented students—one from each grade level—competed in the Digital Publication Material Making Contest. They were given a challenging 2-hour limit to create powerful visuals focusing on this year's crucial theme:

Lights, camera, advocacy!

Calling all Grade 7 to 12 students of Bayabas National High School and Bayabas ALS learners — join the Drug Awareness Short Film Contest 2025 and make your voice heard in the fight for a drug-free community!

🎥 Theme: “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kalusugan ay Pinapahalagahan, Droga ay Inaayawan.”
👥 Participants: Maximum of 15 students per grade level
⏱️ Video Length: 3 to 5 minutes only
🗓️ Deadline of submission: November 21, 2025 (Friday) at 11:59 PM

𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬:
1. The contest is open to all Grade 7 to 12 students and ALS learners of Bayabas National High School.

2. Each year level is allowed a maximum of 15 participants only.

3. Interested participants should contact Ma’am Waban for their year-level representative and to join the official group chat for updates and coordination. One representative for each level in the group chat.

4. Ma’am Waban will announce the complete contest details, including the submission process and judging schedule.

5. The short film must focus on the given theme, promoting health awareness and rejecting illegal drugs in the spirit of Bagong Pilipinas. It must also highlight or relate to an agency or department in the barangay (such as the Barangay Council, SK, or BADAC) that helps reduce drug use and its spread in the community.

6. The film duration must be 3 to 5 minutes, including opening and closing credits.

7. All entries must be original. Any form of plagiarism or copied material will result in disqualification.

8. Each short film must be checked and approved by a teacher before submission to ensure the content is appropriate and suitable for viewing.

9. ALS learners shall follow the same contest rules and criteria as regular students.

10. Teachers have the discretion to decide if winning participants may be exempted from Performance Tasks (PTs).

11. Judging will be based on solely the number of heart reactions received on the official post, the entry with the highest number of heart reactions will be declared the winner.

12. Entries that use auto-like systems or fake accounts to increase votes will be automatically disqualified.

13. The participants can collab with an agency or Brgy. Departments. They can shoot even outside school premises as long that it does not jeopardize their safety.
