The City Anti-Drug Abuse Division – Oro Wellness Center (CADAD–OWC), in behalf of the Cagayan de Oro City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CDO CADAC), attended the KKDK Graduation Ceremony held at the BJMP–City Male Dormitory on August 4, 2026.

The event was represented by Mr. Sunny Rae Diputado Cahayag , Office Overseer, CADAD–OWC, who joined fellow stakeholders in honoring the graduates and celebrating an important milestone in their journey toward positive change, personal growth, and a more productive life.

The graduation ceremony served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of rehabilitation, values formation, continuous support, and reintegration in helping individuals overcome challenges and rebuild their lives. Programs such as KKDK provide opportunities for participants to develop positive values, strengthen their relationships, discover their potential, and prepare for meaningful reintegration into their families and communities.

The Committee on Social Inclusion, Peace Building and Security conducted a Focus Group Discussion as part of ETUKOD 2026, bringing together 50 delegates representing the Youth Sector, Faith and Advocacy-Based Organizations, and Women’s Sector.

As part of the activity, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗿𝗼, 𝗥𝗦𝗪, 𝗖𝗕𝗗𝗥𝗣–𝗕𝗗𝗖𝗣 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, delivered an informative and meaningful lecture, sharing valuable insights that encouraged participants to recognize their important roles in promoting social inclusion, peace, security, and community development.

The gathering served as a meaningful platform for dialogue, shared experiences, and collective reflection, reminding us that lasting peace and inclusive communities are built when every sector is given a voice and an opportunity to participate.

When we listen to one another, understand different perspectives, and work together, we create stronger communities where everyone belongs.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro in the implementation of a Drug-Free Workplace, ensuring that government employees continue to uphold professionalism, accountability, and a healthy work environment while delivering quality public service to the people.

Together, let us continue to strengthen our collective responsibility in building a workplace that is safe, productive, healthy, and free from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.

On July 30, 2026, personnel of the City Anti-Drug Abuse Division - Oro Wellness Center, led by Mr. Sunny Rae D. Cahayag, Office Overseer, met with Barangay Besigan Punong Barangay Hon. Manuel C. Minister to further strengthen the working relationship and partnership between CADAD–OWC and BADAC.

During the meeting, Mr. Cahayag discussed the importance of the CADAD–OWC–BADAC partnership and provided an orientation on the BADAC organizational structure, advocacy, operations, and functionality. He also encouraged the active involvement of the barangay and its constituents in working together toward shared goals for a safer, healthier, and more empowered community.

Through strong collaboration, shared responsibility, and active community participation, we can continue building communities where hope is strengthened, lives are transformed, and positive change begins.

As one of the key members and partner agencies of the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC), PDEA plays an important role in the City's comprehensive efforts to address the drug problem. The visit provided our Psychology Interns with an opportunity to better understand the agency's mandate, functions, programs, and its role in the broader framework of drug prevention and control.

This exposure is an important part of their internship experience, allowing them to see how psychology, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, law enforcement, and community-based interventions work together in addressing substance use concerns.

Through experiences like this, our interns gain not only knowledge but also a deeper appreciation of the importance of inter-agency collaboration in building safer and healthier communities.

The CADAD–Oro Wellness Center in collaboration with the BJMP Cagayan de Oro City Jail – Female Dormitory, conducted a 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 (𝗣𝗗𝗟𝘀) on July 29, 2026.

The activity was joined by 12 BS Psychology Interns from Liceo de Cagayan University (LDCU) and 5 Oro Wellness Center personnel, with the Psychology Interns actively sharing their knowledge and facilitating discussions with the PDLs.

The activity was facilitated by Ms. Evangeline P. Isidro, RSW, together with BJMP City Jail – Female Dormitory together, providing the interns an opportunity to translate classroom learning into meaningful community service while promoting mental and emotional wellness among PDLs.

🧠 𝗟𝗗𝗖𝗨 𝗣𝗦𝗬𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲

Our new batch of BS Psychology Interns from Liceo de Cagayan University (LDCU) took their learning beyond the classroom through a meaningful 𝗟𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗝𝗠𝗣 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗹 – 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The 12 Psychology Interns, together with 5 Oro Wellness Center staff, engaged with Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) through lectures and discussions on Mental Health, Well-Being, and Stress Management, putting their knowledge into practice while developing empathy, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of community-based mental health interventions.

The activity was facilitated by the BJMP City Jail – Male Dormitory and Evangeline P. Isidro, RSW of the Oro Wellness Center.
