LOOK: DTI Misamis Oriental Weekly Price Monitoring Report

The DTI Misamis Oriental Weekly Price Monitoring Report presents the results of daily price monitoring conducted from August 24-27, 2026 across Cagayan de Oro City.

A total of 173 different product items covering basic necessities and prime commodities were monitored across 42 major retail stores, supermarkets, and grocery stores. Findings show that 100% of the monitored goods are within the Suggested Retail Price (SRP).

DTI Misamis Oriental continues to monitor market prices to ensure compliance with SRP guidelines and promote fair trade practices.

The DTI Misamis Oriental Weekly Price Monitoring Report presents the results of daily price monitoring conducted from August 24-27, 2026, across Cagayan de Oro City.

Empowering livelihood beneficiaries through entrepreneurship and financial training

On August 26, 2028, at the Naawan Town Hall, DTI Misamis Oriental, in collaboration with the DOLE Misamis Oriental Provincial Field Office, successfully conducted a business learning session for 34 individual and association beneficiaries of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) from Initao and Naawan.

The session focused on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, financial management, and basic bookkeeping. Participants engaged in an interactive workshop on computing budget plans and recording daily business transactions. Conducted prior to the turnover of livelihood assistance, the training aimed to boost the beneficiaries business skills and help their new ventures thrive.

🌱 Nurturing Future Entrepreneurs, One Tuesday at a Time

On September 1, 2026, DTI Misamis Oriental conducted its Entrepreneurship Development Seminar (EDS) at the DTI Misamis Oriental Training Room, Cagayan de Oro City, with 26 participants composed of 19 youth and 7 MSMEs.

The activity provided participants with essential knowledge and guidance to better understand entrepreneurship and steps for online business name registration.

🧹 Project Silhig: Strengthening Systems, Building Partnerships!

DTI Misamis Oriental successfully conducted a 2-Day Training Workshop on the Development of the SSF Manual of Operations on August 26–27, 2026 for the Project Silhig stakeholders and 5 organization beneficiaries.

The activity highlighted the DTI Shared Service Facility (SSF) Program, covering the Project Overview, SSF Guidelines and Policies, Cooperator Roles and Responsibilities, and the importance of developing the SSF Manual of Operations. Participants also engaged in hands-on activities to map processes and identify practical solutions for efficient operations.

Mr. Cosme Pacana led the 2nd day of the activity as Resource Person, sharing his expertise through a workshop on the development of the Manual of Operations, while helping strengthen collaboration among stakeholders toward the sustainable operation and growth of the project.

Together, stakeholders are building stronger systems and partnerships for the continued growth and success of Project Silhig under the DTI Shared Service Facility Program! 💪🌱

More opportunities. Better access. Stronger tourism businesses! 🌱💼

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental brought government support closer to 17 tourism-related businesses and barangay micro business leaders through an orientation on SB Corporation Loan Programs and Barangay Micro Business Enterprise held on August 26, 2026, at the Claveria Municipal Hall.

Mr. Jade Montero, Chief Accounts Management Specialist of SB Corp, shared financing opportunities available to MSMEs, while Ms. Meliza Cande B. Taclindo, DTI Misamis Oriental BMBE Focal Person, discussed BMBE registration, benefits, and incentives. The session equipped participants with relevant information and connected them to government programs that can help their businesses grow, sustain, and thrive.

Through initiatives like this, DTI Misamis Oriental continues to bring opportunities closer to MSMEs and support the growth of local tourism enterprises.
