On February 11, 2026, I witnessed a troubling bullying incident in our barangay involving a student from LNHS. While on my way home, I saw the student being harassed by her peers. I honked my car horn, which startled the bullies and prompted them to flee. I immediately got out of my vehicle to assist her and accompanied her to the police station to ensure the incident was properly documented.
Filing a police blotter is especially important in cases of physical bullying involving minors, as it protects the victim and creates an official record that can guide the proper response, support, and intervention. Documentation ensures that the child’s safety and rights are prioritized and that the matter is addressed responsibly.
I earnestly encourage our parents and school officers to take immediate and compassionate action to safeguard the victim’s safety, emotional well-being, and access to the care and support she requires. At the same time, it is equally important to provide the students responsible with proper guidance and corrective measures, so they understand the consequences of their actions, take responsibility, and learn from this experience in a constructive and empathetic manner.
As a community, let us continue to pray and work together to raise our children with compassion, guidance, and accountability—ensuring not only their safety but also their development into responsible and caring individuals.
