KYCON IS ADJOURNED

Kauswagan Youth Conference (KYCON), Katipunan ng Kabataan, finally comes to a close last August 21, 2026.

SK Kauswagan has given an importance to the voice of the youth, most especially in this time of preparing the Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan, a three-year rolling plan of the Sanggunian. Through KYCON, proposals, inputs and ideas of Kauswagan youth was given platform and was heard by a formal Conference.

At the end, KYCON was adjourned, after all proposals were deemed adopted by the members.

SK Kauswagan would like to thank the entire working staff of KYCON who have given their talents and time for the success of the event.

True to its guiding line; by, for and with the youth; SK Kauswagan gives way to the youth in participation to governance and implementation.

It is not only the SK Members, but the entire youth; is the future. We are the future, and the future is here!

WE ARE PROUD OF YOU HEIRESS!

The Kauswagan youth is proud to Miss Kauswagan 2025 Heiress Caasi for her on-top performance during the 61st Miss Cagayan de Oro pageant.

Thank you for representing our Barangay with grace and beauty. No matter if we fall, there is always a chance to stand up and be an inspiration, and Heiress did just that.

She is already an inspiration to young children as seen on her project Bituing kay Ningning, where she met our kindergarten children in Barangay Kauswagan and handed educational materials. Heiress also played roles in few SK Kauswagan activities, showing that her crown as Miss Kauswagan did not only limit her at the pageant stage but also in service.

Before Heiress left the Miss CDO 2026 Stage she bagged few awards, including corporate choice awards, showcasing her strength and grace perfectly combined

THANK YOU TEAM KAUSWAGAN 🏀👏

A heated and hard-fought match between Team Kauswagan and Team Poblacion took place at the Macasandig Gymnasium on August 21, marking the final chapter of Kauswagan’s run in the Salaksakan League.

From the opening minutes until the final buzzer, Team Kauswagan remained all-out in keeping the gap close, refusing to back down and continuing to fight for every possession. More than the final score, the game reflected the determination, discipline, and heart that the team carried throughout the entire tournament.

As the journey comes to an end, we extend our deepest gratitude to our players who poured their energy, strength, time, and passion into every game. You gave your all to keep the name of Kauswagan strong, and for that, the entire community is proud of you.

To every player who stepped onto the court, every teammate who stood from the sidelines, and everyone who believed in the team: thank you for carrying the heart of Kauswagan.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to our generous sponsor, Baal Farm, for standing behind Team Kauswagan throughout this journey. Your support helped make this experience possible and gave our players the opportunity to compete, grow, and represent our community.

SK KAUSWAGAN SUPPORTS INITIATIVE FOR ADOLESCENT-FRIENDLY HEALTH SERVICES

SK Kauswagan expresses its support for the conduct of the Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility (AFHF) Assessment using the FRESAAR Indicators, or the Facility Readiness and Essential Services Availability Assessment and Reporting for Adolescent Health.

The assessment aims to evaluate the readiness of health facilities in providing essential, accessible, and adolescent-friendly health services. Through the evaluation, stakeholders are able to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement in ensuring that young people have access to responsive healthcare services within the community.

The initiative is being conducted in collaboration with the Department of Health – Center for Health Development Northern Mindanao (DOH-CHDNM) and NGO partners from Manila, bringing together key health advocates and stakeholders in advancing adolescent health and well-being.

Representing the youth sector during the evaluation was SK Kauswagan Kagawad on Health Efren Corpuz, who also serves as the President of CDO’s APEER HIGALA. His presence reflects SK Kauswagan’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the health, welfare, and overall development of Kauswaganon youth.

Through active participation and collaboration with health partners and advocates, SK Kauswagan remains committed to championing initiatives that help build a healthier, safer, and more responsive community for every young person.
