September 05, 2026 | Earlier today, Kauswagan Fire Station personnel headed by FINSP RANELIE L SALGA, Station commander, actively participated in the recently concluded Kuyug Ta sa Baryo (KSB) program held at Barangay Bonbon, Cagayan de Oro City, a community-based initiative of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro.

As part of our commitment to bringing fire safety services closer to the community, our personnel provided fire truck and personnel visibility assistance throughout the activity. We also assisted clients and stakeholders during the Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS), helping ensure a smooth and accessible delivery of government services.

25 August 2026 | Duty personnel of Kauswagan Fire Station, Cagayan de Oro Fire District, headed by FINSP MARY RANELIE L SALGA, Station Commander, conducted a Fire Safety Lecture and Drill at SPX Kauswagan as part of the station’s continuing commitment to strengthen fire prevention awareness, emergency preparedness, and safety among the community.

The activity focused on enhancing the participants’ knowledge and skills on fire prevention, proper emergency response procedures, fire extinguisher operation, and safe evacuation techniques during fire and other emergency situations.

Through activities such as this, Kauswagan Fire Station continues to promote a culture of preparedness, vigilance, and collective responsibility toward a safer and more fire-resilient community. 🚒🔥

A proud moment for Kauswagan Fire Station, headed by FINSP MARY RANELIE L SALGA, Station Commander, as the Kauswagan and Bayabas Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG) showcased their skills, teamwork, determination, and camaraderie during the 3rd Higalaay Fire Olympics.

The two CFAG teams demonstrated commendable performance throughout the competition, reflecting their dedication to enhancing their emergency response capabilities and preparedness in serving their respective communities.

Their participation and achievements underscore the important role of the Community Fire Auxiliary Group in strengthening community-based fire preparedness, supporting emergency response efforts, and building a stronger partnership between the community and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
