Conducted by the Provincial Program Management Support Office (PPMSO) Bukidnon in June 2026, the initiative equipped beneficiaries with practical marketing strategies to promote fresh and value-added fishery products online, broaden their customer base approach, and improve the competitiveness of their community enterprises.
The training covered 13 MunicipalitiesโDamulog, Pangantucan, Kadingilan, Lantapan, Sumilao, Quezon, Cabanglasan, Baungon, Malitbog, Impasugong, Kitaotao, San Fernando, Talakag, and Kibaweโand convened SAAD beneficiaries, local government unit representatives, and BFAR personnel.
During the training, participants learned the fundamentals of digital marketing, including customer profiling, content creation, branding, product packaging and labeling, social media promotion, online selling platforms, and strategies for increasing product visibility.
Interactive workshops allowed participants to develop promotional materials and apply digital marketing techniques to products developed from their associations. The sessions also highlighted the importance of building consumer trust through quality presentation, responsible online selling, and effective customer engagement.
For Ariel Guinando of the Digongan and Panganan Fisherfolk Association in Kitaotao, the training on digital marketing introduced new opportunities to engage with customers even beyond local boundaries to customer connection and sales growth.
"The training enhanced our digital marketing skills and gave me practical knowledge on promoting our products online. I am confident that these skills will help us reach more customers and improve our sales," Guinando said.
The Digital Marketing Training underscores BFAR-10's market-driven approach to enterprise development under the SAAD Program Phase II. By enabling fisherfolk organizations to leverage digital platforms, the bureau seeks to improve market access, increase the value of community-produced fishery products, and help build more resilient and self-sustaining livelihood enterprises across Bukidnon. # (๐
