The Institute of Governance, Innovation, and Sustainability (IGIS) focuses on public sector innovations empowering and harnessing the expertise and engagement of the University and its partners and communities. The Institute of Governance, Innovation, and Sustainability (IGIS) was established upon the approval of the USTP Board of Regents (BOR) Resolution 28 s.2020 last March 9, 2020. The Institut

e will strategically address and be distinguished for its focus on the five sustainable development goals:
SDG 1: No Poverty
SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (Specifically on Digital Service Infrastructure and Innovations)
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 13: Climate Action
SDG 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goals

The IGIS is envisioned to be another potential stronghold of the University of Science & Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP).
