This is to formally inform the public that effective 22 April 2026, Engr. Chona B. Labaon, MPA has been designated as the Acting Regional Director of National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region - X. This change follows the reassignment of Director Ordonio P. Rocero, Jr. to NCIP Caraga Region.

𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 📣

Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 116 mula sa Tanggapan ng Pangulo, ang NCIP ay magpapatupad ng half-day work-from-home arrangement sa Miyerkules, 1 Abril 2026.

Lahat ng tanggapan ng Komisyon ay sasailalim sa work-from-home setup mula 8:00 ng umaga hanggang 12:00 ng tanghali, at ang lahat ng opisyal na transaksyon at serbisyo ay suspendido simula alas-dose ng hapon.

Magsasara rin ang mga tanggapan ng NCIP sa Huwebes at Biyernes Santo, 2–3 Abril 2026.

Magbabalik ang regular na operasyon ng mga tanggapan sa Lunes, 6 Abril 2026.

Pinangunahan nina DAR Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III at National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Chairperson Nancy Catamco ang paglagda ng MOA para sa Value-Chain Innovation for Sustainable Transformation in Agrarian Reform Communities (VISTA) Project. Makikinabang dito ang 80,000 sambahayan, kabilang ang 24,800 katutubo, habang iginagalang ang kanilang kultura at lupang ninuno.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐜𝐨 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐗𝐈𝐈 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒

NCIP Secretary Nancy A. Catamco officially took her oath before President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, as the Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) for Region XII.

In this capacity, Secretary Catamco will serve as the strategic liaison between the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) and the Joint Regional Task Force (JRTF) in the SOCCSKSARGEN region.

Beyond her regional appointment, Secretary Catamco was designated as the Co-Cluster Head of the Sectoral Unification, Capacity Building, Empowerment, and Mobilization (SUCBEM) Cluster. This appointment, made during the 9th Executive Committee (ExeCom) Meeting, places her alongside other top Cabinet officials in steering the task force's core initiatives.

As the primary government agency mandated to protect and promote the rights and well-being of Indigenous Cultural Communities and Indigenous Peoples, the NCIP brings to the task force its expertise in community engagement, ancestral domain governance, and the delivery of services to some of the country's most geographically isolated and underserved communities — many of which reside within areas covered by the NTF-ELCAC's mandate.
