Under the expert guidance of our resource speaker Maria Agnes I. Capaning, our local hotel managers, tour guides, and tour operators gathered to rethink how we welcome the world. From accessible facilities to inclusive communication, we are learning that barrier-free experience starts with the pride of knowing our doors are truly open to everyone.

Following the grand opening of the Kaamulan Festival 2026, Bukidnon comes alive with the rich heritage of its seven tribes. As we welcome guests from near and far, there is no better time to ensure that our hospitality shines just as brightly as our traditions.

The Department of Tourism Region 10, in partnership with the Bukidnon League of Tourism Officers and Coordinators (BULTOC), successfully conducted the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training yesterday, March 24, 2026, at Pepe Bernales Farm in Talakag, Bukidnon. This first activity of BULTOC demonstrates their commitment to delivering service excellence in their respective municipalities and across the entire province of Bukidnon.

It was a day filled with meaningful learning, collaboration, and growth for tourism officers and members of BULTOC, guided by esteemed resource speaker Dr. Paolo A. Querol.

Together, we are not just hosting a festival—we are raising the bar of hospitality for all of Northern Mindanao.

A Celebration of Our Identity: Taste, Sight, and Sound

The Department of Tourism Region 10 (DOT10), in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Kitaotao, successfully conducted a two-day Filipinization Branding Training from March 19-20, 2026, at the Cicada Hills Training Center, Brgy. Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon.

During the two-day training, local business owners and frontliners learned how to transform their spaces into authentic cultural hubs by incorporating Filipino elements into their interior design, culinary offerings, music, and traditional dances.

Under the expert guidance of Maria Theresa Jean P. Boo, Raul Prima and Yzabel Cagalingan, our participants explored how to weave our distinct culture and Filipino values into every aspect of tourism, making Kitaotao the benchmark for cultural branding and excellence in Northern Mindanao.

On March 17, 2026, the Department of Tourism’s Office of Human Capital Development (OHCD), with TwoEco Incorporated, conducted a focused Learning Needs Assessment discussion at Malberry Suites Hotel. Participants from Local Government Units and tourism stakeholders across Region 10 openly identified key learning priorities, including sustainable practices, digital readiness, community engagement, and service excellence.

These valuable inputs are directly shaping targeted capacity-building initiatives that will strengthen the entire tourism sector in Northern Mindanao.

The Department of Tourism Region 10 (DOT10) in partnership with the City Government of El Salvador conducted Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training at City Hall Theater, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, yesterday, March 16, 2026.

Under the expert guidance of our Resource Speaker, Maria Theresa Jean P. Boo, we delved deep into what makes our hospitality truly world-class.

This is a preparation for the upcoming Feast of Mercy at Divine Mercy Shrine. A diverse local group participated including tricab drivers, local concessionaires, market vendors, and Divine Mercy frontliners. Whether it’s a ride around the city, a meal at a local stall, or a warm welcome at a front desk, these participants are now equipped to deliver service with the distinct Heart of Filipino Hospitality.

This is a reminder that our greatest asset in tourism is our values.

​The Department of Tourism - Region 10 (DOT10), in close collaboration with the Provincial Government of Camiguin, successfully conducted the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training on March 12–13, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol and Havendwell Resort, Mambajao, Camiguin.

​This training comes at a momentous time for the province, which recently gained international acclaim by ranking No. 37 on The New York Times' prestigious "52 Places to Go in 2026" list. As the only Philippine destination featured, this global recognition brings a heightened responsibility to deliver service that is nothing short of excellent.
