The Provincial Health Office of Misamis Oriental together with the Local Government Unit of Talisayan, and the unwavering support of the Department of Health - Center for Health Development Northen Mindanao, successfully celebrated World Immunization Week 2026 on April 27, 2026, at Talisayan, Misamis Oriental.
Promoting the importance of routine immunization, the activity brought together the health workers, local leaders and community members, underscoring their support to the program. Highlights included messages of support from Talisayan Mayor, Hon. Ciriaco A. Talines, affirming his advocacy for the immunization campaign. The activity also showcased a ceremonial vaccination of children, and the administration of up to 70 vaccine doses to children and pregnant women.

Rural Health Unit of Villanueva successfully held the World Immunization week celebration at Barangay Kimaya, Villanueva, on April 28, 2026. The event brought the community together to promote awareness of the vital role immunization plays in protecting families and children from vaccine-preventable diseases. The session provided valuable health education, highlighting the life-saving benefits of complete and timely vaccination. The successful initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the LGU Villanueva, the Barangay Kimaya Council, and the hardworking Barangay Health Workers.
