This Monday’s Flag Raising Ceremony was marked by a vibrant and meaningful presentation.
The SK Federation of Cagayan de Oro delivered a Festival of Festivals dance performance that showcased the rich culture, unity, and collective spirit of the 79 barangays. Each movement reflected coordination, dedication, and a shared commitment to representing the youth with pride.

More than a performance, it served as a testament to the strength of youth leadership and the continued efforts to promote cultural appreciation and community engagement.

El Niño Alert issued ⚠️

DOST-PAGASA has officially raised its ENSO Alert and Warning System to El Niño Alert, following the high likelihood of its development in the coming months and possible persistence into early 2027. This may bring drier-than-usual conditions, including dry spells and droughts in parts of the country.

However, above-normal rainfall may still be experienced over the western sections during the Habagat season.

The Philippines celebrates Solo Parents Week annually during the third week of April (April 15-21, 2026), with the third Saturday designated as National Solo Parents Day, aimed at recognizing the dedication of solo parents and promoting their rights under RA 11861.

This year’s theme is "Hindi ka Nag-iisa sa Iyong Pag-iisa: Yakap at Kalinga para sa Solo Parent".
