UNANG KSB SA BULAN SA SEPTIYEMBRE GIDALA SA BRGY BONBON

MALIPAYON ang katawhan sa Barangay Bonbon nga nakatagamtam sa mga batakang serbisyo atol sa gipahigayong unang ‘Kuyug ta sa Serbisyo sa Baryo’ (KSB) sa bulan sa Septiyembre, nga gipangulohan ni Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, adlawng Sabado, Septiyembre 5, ning tuig.

Lakip sa mga serbisyo nga gitanyag ang libreng check-up, ibot sa ngipon, tuli, alot, hilot, ug uban pa.

Mitunol usab ang lokal nga kagamhanan og gatusan ka mga Medical Data Record (MDR) sa pakigtambayayong sa PhilHealth, City Health Office, ug City Health Insurance Office.

Pipila usab ka mga gardening material ug agricultural tools ang gitunol sa Agricultural and Productivity Operations Office (APOO) sa Barangay Bonbon.

Nagkadaiyang performances ang gipakita sa mga kawani sa City Hall, Barangay Council, mga magtutudlo, ug uban pang mga grupo nga mihatag og lingaw sa tanan.

Usa sa mga highlight sa KSB mao ang Kasalan ng Bayan diin 19 ka mga magtiayon ang gibugkos ni Mayor Klarex sa kaminyuon.

CITY HALL DEPTS JOIN TWO-DAY EU GREEN ECONOMY WORKSHOP

THE EU-PH Green Economy Partnership: SO2 Green LGUs - Local Circular and the City Planning and Developemnt Office held its workshop among city hall departments on "Mainstreaming Circular Economy in Local Plans and Policies in Cagayan de Oro", , September 3- 4, 2026 at Kave 2 Function Room, Limketkai Luxe Hotel, this city.

During the workshop, EU-PH Green Economy Partnership LGU and Stakeholder Engagement Analyst Geonathan Barro enlighten the departments on what EU-PH Green Economy Partnership is and the opportunities it brings to CDO.

Meanwhile, City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office Department Manager Elvisa Mabelin discussed about the Circular Economy Portfolio Work Plan and City Planning and Development Office Department Manager Engr. Ardines Cabrera discussed the contents of the Comprehensive Development Plan.

Representatives of various city hall offices were also divided into the components of the CDP: Social, Economic, Environmental, Infrastructure, and Institutional to identify the gaps and opportunities for CE, identify the challenges under it alongside identify the PPAs are needed to integrate CE in the plans.

Also presented at the workshop were updates on Modernization of Centralized MRF, EPR, and Behavioral Change Campaign,
Food Innovation Hub and Composting Facility , Green Tourism Seal and Standard, Integration of CE in School Curriculum, Local Financing Vehicle, Innovators Challenge, and Priority CE Investments for EU.
alongside the the Budget Availability, Challenges, and Alternative Sources.

It has been known that the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership is a P3.67 billion (€60 million) 5-Year Project funded by EU through its Global Gateway. It is spearheaded by DENR and DILG. Specific Objective 2 is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The said workshop seeks to identify the gaps and opportunities in the local plans where CE can be mainstreamed; influence more Department Managers to support CE; identify the budget of the City LGU that can be realigned and allocated for CE; propose key provisions in the CE Ordinance; and, mainstream CE in Cagayan de Oro by integrating it into the CDP and local plans, Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) and budget of the City LGU.
