Today, August 17, 2026, the Local Government Unit of Alubijid successfully awarded Certificates of Accreditation to qualified Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), marking another significant step in strengthening meaningful participation and collaboration between the local government and the community.

The accreditation recognizes the valuable role of Civil Society Organizations in local governance and development. Through their active participation, partnership, and shared commitment, CSOs contribute to creating more inclusive, responsive, and people-centered programs and initiatives for the Municipality of Alubijid.

The Municipality extends its appreciation to all accredited CSOs for their continued support and willingness to work alongside the local government in addressing community needs and advancing local development.

Moving forward, the LGU Alubijid remains committed to fostering strong partnerships with Civil Society Organizations and other stakeholders. Together, we continue to build a participatory, inclusive, and progressive Alubijid.

Today, July 29, 2026, the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) conducted a SketchUp with CAD Alignment: Enhancing 3D Modeling and CAD Integration Skills training for the MPDO Staffs of the Municipality of Alubijid. The activity aimed to strengthen participants' knowledge and practical skills in 3D modeling and computer-aided design (CAD), supporting more efficient planning, visualization, and technical project development.

The Municipality extends its sincere appreciation to the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), the resource speakers, and the organizing team for sharing their expertise and providing valuable learning opportunities. Their commitment to capacity-building continues to empower the MPDO Staffs with essential digital skills that contribute to better planning and public service.

Today, July 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM, the Local Government Unit of Alubijid successfully conducted the BLS: Simple Bookkeeping Training for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), equipping local entrepreneurs with essential bookkeeping knowledge and practical financial management skills.

The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of MSMEs by promoting proper record-keeping, improving financial organization, and helping business owners make informed decisions for the growth and sustainability of their enterprises.

The Municipality extends its sincere appreciation to all resource speakers, partner agencies, and participating MSMEs for their active support and commitment to empowering the local business sector. Through initiatives like this, Alubijid continues to promote inclusive economic growth and sustainable livelihood opportunities for the community.

Today, July 21, 2026, the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) of Alubijid welcomed the staffs of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP)–Alubijid as part of their USTP SentiSync initiative.

The visit served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the local government and the academic community through discussions on municipal planning, local governance, and sustainable development. The participants were introduced to the roles and functions of the MPDO, as well as the municipality's ongoing planning initiatives that contribute to the growth and development of Alubijid.

The Municipality of Alubijid expresses its appreciation to USTP–Alubijid for this collaborative engagement and remains committed to supporting educational partnerships that promote innovation, civic participation, and community development.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 11141, July 1 of every year is officially declared a Special Non-Working Holiday in the Municipality of Alubijid, Misamis Oriental in commemoration of its founding anniversary, to be known as “Araw ng Alubijid.”

This year, the Municipality of Alubijid marks its 𝟴𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗷𝗶𝗱 with a celebration that is intentionally more humble and meaningful than in previous years. Unlike the traditional 3–5 day festivities, this year's observance focuses on what truly defines the Alubijidnon spirit—𝙂𝒓𝙖𝒕𝙞𝒕𝙪𝒅𝙚, 𝑮𝙚𝒏𝙚𝒓𝙤𝒔𝙞𝒕𝙮, 𝒂𝙣𝒅 𝑷𝙚𝒓𝙨𝒆𝙫𝒆𝙧𝒂𝙣𝒄𝙚.

Through a simple yet purposeful lineup of activities, we gather not only to celebrate our achievements, but also to reflect on the blessings we have received, extend kindness to one another, and honor the resilience that continues to move our community forward.

Today, June 18, 2026, the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) of Alubijid recently conducted a coordination meeting with representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) today to discuss the proposed machinery and equipment requirements for the municipality’s Food Processing Facility.

The meeting served as a venue to identify appropriate technologies and equipment that will enhance the facility’s operational capacity, improve product quality, and support local producers, farmers, and entrepreneurs. Through this collaborative effort, both agencies explored opportunities to strengthen value-adding activities and promote sustainable local economic development.

The Municipality of Alubijid expresses its appreciation to the Department of Science and Technology for its technical guidance and continued support in advancing innovation-driven initiatives for the community. Such partnerships are instrumental in ensuring that local development projects are responsive to the needs of stakeholders and aligned with the municipality’s long-term development goals.

𝗠𝗚𝗕 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗕𝗜𝗝𝗜𝗗

The representatives from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Central Office paid a courtesy call to the Local Government Unit of Alubijid today, June 17, 2026, as part of their official visit to the municipality. The visit aimed to coordinate with the LGU and seek assistance in conducting site inspections of identified rock formation areas within the municipality.

The activity provided an opportunity for the MGB Central Office and the LGU to strengthen collaboration in the assessment and documentation of significant geological features.

The Municipality of Alubijid expresses its appreciation to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Central Office for its continued efforts in advancing geoscience research and promoting the sustainable management of the country's geological resources. The LGU remains committed to supporting initiatives that contribute to environmental stewardship, scientific research, and sustainable local development.
