Mula nang maupo sa puwesto si Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao noong Oktubre 2025, mas pinaigting ang pagpapatupad ng mga hakbang para sa isang ligtas na kalsada.

Batay sa datos na inilabas ng Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID), mula Oktubre 2025 hanggang Hunyo 10, 2026, 434 revocation at 396 suspension cases ang naitala kaugnay ng iba’t ibang paglabag sa batas-trapiko at regulasyon sa pagmamaneho.

Nahahati sa mga sumusunod ang kabuuang bilang ng lisensyang na-revoked (434):

325 – dalawang (2) taong revocation
15 – apat (4) na taong revocation
94 – permanenteng revocation

Samantala, nahahati sa mga sumusunod ang kabuuang bilang ng lisensya na sinuspinde (396):

23 – isang (1) buwang suspensyon
290 – tatlong (3) buwang suspensyon
7 – anim (6) na buwang suspensyon
1 – pitong (7) buwang suspensyon
75 – isang (1) taong suspensyon

Ayon kay Assistant Secretary Lacanilao, ang mga datos na ito ay sumasalamin sa mas mahigpit na kampanya ng LTO laban sa mga lumalabag sa batas-trapiko bilang bahagi ng pangkalahatang layunin na mapalakas ang disiplina sa kalsada at maiwasan ang mga aksidente.

"Bahagi ng aming tungkulin ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng mga umiiral na batas-trapiko, at isa lamang ito sa mga konkretong tagumpay ng LTO. Patuloy ang aming pagpapalakas ng disiplina sa kalsada at pagtiyak sa kaligtasan ng publiko,” ani Lacanilao.

Dagdag pa niya, ang pinaigting na enforcement ay kabilang sa 7-Point Priority Agenda ng ahensya, alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na isulong ang road safety, at disiplina sa lahat ng motorista.

Sa huli, ito ay patunay na patuloy na ginagawa ng ahensya ang mga hakbang upang matiyak na ang publiko ay mananatiling responsableng mga driver at mahigpit na susunod sa mga umiiral na batas-trapiko upang mapanatili ang kaligtasan sa lansangan.

🇵🇭 In celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, LTO Cadiz District Office is CLOSED today, June 12, 2026.
Regular office operations and services will resume on Monday, June 15, 2026.

In observance of the 128𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙮, the Land Transportation Office – Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) informs the public that all 𝙇𝙏𝙊 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 12, 2026 (𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙮), pursuant to the declaration of a regular national holiday.

As a result, all frontline services and transactions, including driver's license, motor vehicle registration, and other LTO-related services, will be temporarily unavailable.

Our team remains actively deployed at various schools, terminals, and roadsides in Cadiz City, conducting inspections, monitoring public transport operations, and extending assistance to students, teachers, parents, and commuters.

Another productive day of serving the public as we conducted inspections and monitoring at the Cadiz City TODA Terminal, Bus Terminal, Manapla Bus Stop, Manapla TODA Terminal, and Roadside Inspection as well as in Manapla Elementary School. We also provided assistance to students, parents, drivers, and commuters to help ensure a safe, orderly, and comfortable start of the school year.

🚦Day 4 | Oplan Balik Eskwela 2026

Another productive day in the field as our team visited schools and transport terminals in Cadiz City and Sagay City. We conducted inspections, monitored public transport operations, and assisted students, parents, and commuters as classes officially resumed.

Through our continued presence and coordination, we aim to help ensure that every learner reaches school and returns home safely and every journey remains orderly and secure.
