25 May 2026 โ The Fires School, Individual Training Group, Training Command, Philippine Army formally commenced the Field Artillery Career Courses for the 2nd Training Period CY 2026 through a simple, yet meaningful opening ceremony attended by officers, instructors, and trainees. The activity reaffirmed the Fires Schoolโs unwavering commitment to developing competent, disciplined, and mission-ready Artillery personnel capable of meeting the evolving demands of military operations.
The opening ceremony marked the official start of training for the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course Class 11-2026, Field Artillery Non-Commissioned Officer Advance Course Class 70-2026, and Field Artillery Non-Commissioned Officer Basic Course Class 114-2026. The activity was graced by the Commandant, Fires School, who served as the keynote speaker.
In his message, the Commandant emphasized the significance of discipline, professionalism, resilience, and continuous learning in achieving operational excellence and mission accomplishment. He further challenged the students to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence, maximize every learning opportunity, and uphold the core values of the Philippine Army as future leaders and stewards of the Field Artillery profession.
The ceremony likewise highlighted the vital role of the Fires School in strengthening the operational readiness and warfighting capability of artillery and fire support personnel through responsive military education and specialized training programs.
As the courses officially begin, the Fires School remains steadfast in its commitment to providing relevant, adaptive, and high-quality military instruction in support of the Philippine Armyโs mission of producing highly capable, competent, and combat-ready soldiers.
