Engineer School Advance Officer Students visit Makati Development Corporation and 525th Combat Engineer Battalion for an Educational Tour

On 29 October 2025,the Engineer School, under the Individual Training Group, Training Command (TRACOM), Philippine Army, successfully concluded an Educational Tour for the students of the Engineer Officer Advance Course (EOAC) Class 65-2025, headed by COL MARVIN B. DOMINGO CE (GSC) PA, Commandant, Engineer School. The activity was conducted in collaboration with Makati Development Corporation (MDC) and the 525th Combat Engineer Battalion, Combat Engineer Regiment, Philippine Army.

The educational tour aimed to expose the officer-students to current construction technologies, industry innovations, and operational practices that can be applied in future Philippine Army infrastructure projects and engineering operations. It served as a vital link between academic instruction and practical exposure—preparing the students to assume key roles in the Army’s modernization efforts and mission support.

The first part of the tour was held at Makati Development Corporation (MDC), one of the country’s leading construction firms, where the students were oriented on modern building systems, project management processes, and sustainable construction methods.

The second part of the tour was conducted at the 525th Combat Engineer Battalion, the AFP’s premier unit for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations. The unit presented a briefing on its mission, functions, and major accomplishments, followed by a static display of combat engineering and disaster response equipment and a capability demonstration of its Disaster Response Team (DRT).

Throughout the day, the EOAC Class 65-2025 students gained valuable insights into both general engineering—as demonstrated by the private sector’s innovative approaches—and combat engineering, as practiced within the operational framework of the Philippine Army. This dual exposure broadened their perspective on how military engineers contribute to both nation-building and defense operations.

In his message, COL MARVIN B. DOMINGO CE (GSC) PA, Commandant of the Engineer School, emphasized that “the partnership between the Engineer School, private sector institutions like MDC, and operational Army units such as the 525th Combat Engineer Battalion is essential in developing well-rounded engineer officers capable of supporting the Army’s modernization and External Security Operations (ESO).”

This successful collaboration among the Engineer School, Individual Training Group, Training Command, Makati Development Corporation, and the 525th Combat Engineer Battalion underscores the Philippine Army’s commitment to advancing the professional and technical competencies of its future engineering leaders in the service of the nation.

Engineer School Conducted 3TP Sportsfest CY 2025: Building Strength, Unity, and Sportsmanship

CAMP TINIO, Cabanatuan City — The Engineer School, ITG, TRACOM, PA, successfully conducted the Sportsfest for the 3rd Training Period (3TP) CY 2025 on 24-26 October 2025 at the Engineer School Grounds, Camp Tinio, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

The event was graced by COL MARVIN B DOMINGO CE (GSC) PA, Commandant of the Engineer School, who served as the Keynote Speaker. In his message, COL DOMINGO emphasized that sportsmanship mirrors the values of military service—resilience, teamwork, and excellence—urging all participants to embody the true spirit of fair play and unity throughout the competition.

The opening ceremony was marked by a lively torch lighting and oath of sportsmanship, symbolizing the start of friendly yet competitive games among the participating classes of EOAC, ENCOAC, and ENCOBC. Each Team proudly paraded their colors, displaying creativity, discipline, and team spirit.

Adding a festive touch to the event, the Engineer School Grounds came alive with vibrant banners, cheers, and a display of athletic enthusiasm. The day’s activities included a Platoon Run, ball games, and Engineer challenges designed to promote physical endurance, esprit de corps, and leadership under pressure.

Capping off the event was the awarding of winners, fostering stronger bonds among Officers, Instructors, and Students. Engineer soldiers/students who are not only tactically proficient but also physically resilient and team-oriented.

Engineer School Inducts Newly Elected Class Officers of 3TP CY 2025

CAMP TINIO, Cabanatuan City — The Engineer School, ITG, TRACOM, PA, successfully conducted the Induction of Class Officers for the 3rd Training Phase (3TP) Calendar Year 2025, on 10 October 2025 at the Engineer School, Camp Tinio, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

With the theme “Induction @ 3TP: Forging Leaders, Building the Future,” the activity underscored the significance of student leadership, cooperation, and initiative as vital elements in military education and professional development.

The event was graced by COL MARVIN B DOMINGO CE (GSC) PA, Commandant of the Engineer School, who served as the Keynote Speaker. In his message, COL DOMINGO commended the student body for their enthusiasm and commitment to service, emphasizing that leadership is both a privilege and a responsibility that demands integrity, teamwork, and discipline.

This year’s induction adopted a “Barrio Fiesta” motif, with all participants donning colorful Filipino-inspired attire, bringing a festive and communal atmosphere that reflected the warmth and unity of a true barangay celebration. The entire activity—from the decorations to the performances—captured the spirit of camaraderie, joy, and cultural pride.

The program featured a series of activities that fostered camaraderie and esprit de corps among students and faculty alike — including an information drive, boodle fight, and Barrio Fiesta-inspired fellowship. The oath-taking and ceremonial toast for the class officers of ENCOBC, ENCOAC, and EOAC highlighted the formal assumption of their duties and responsibilities.

Adding a touch of creativity and morale-building, the event also showcased the Hybrid Ms. Ganda 2025 competition, featuring the best Barrio Fiesta-themed attires, talent presentations, and friendly inter-platoon contests that brought color and laughter to the occasion.

CEREMONY IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 35TH AFP CODE OF CONDUCT DAY

CAMP BGEN TINIO, Cabanatuan City —The Engineer School, Individual Training Group, Training Command, Philippine Army, led by COL MARVIN B. DOMINGO (CE) GSC PA, Commandant, conducted its Flag Raising Ceremony on 06 October 2025, at the Flag Raising Area, Camp Tinio, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija in observance of the 35th AFP Code of Conduct Day as directed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The highlight of the ceremony was the Renewal of Pledge of Allegiance to the AFP Code of Conduct, led by MAJ COLLIN PAUL MAGALLANES (CE) PA, symbolizing the collective reaffirmation of the Engineer School’s commitment to the highest standards of military ethics and conduct. Moreover, the reading of the CSAFP’s message was delivered by COL MARVIN B. DOMINGO (CE) GSC PA, emphasizing the importance of living by the Code of Conduct as the foundation of every soldier’s service and moral compass.

Through this ceremony, the Engineer School joins the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines in commemorating the 35th AFP Code of Conduct Day, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to the AFP Core Values of Honor, Service, and Patriotism, and its mission to train disciplined, competent, and morally upright soldiers in service to the nation.

Philippine Army Engineer School Fortifies Spiritual and Moral Resilience through Character Enhancement Program

CAMP TINIO, Nueva Ecija – September 30, 2025 – Engineer School, Individual Training Group, Training Command (TRACOM), PA successfully conducted a Character Enhancement Program aimed at strengthening the moral and spiritual resilience of its students and personnel.

The program emphasized a holistic approach by dividing participants into two primary religious groups—Roman Catholic and Non-Catholic—to provide tailored spiritual guidance and leadership instruction. This initiative aligns with the Army’s commitment to developing soldiers who are not only technically proficient but also anchored on strong values and moral integrity in service to the nation.

The Roman Catholic session was led by MAJ JOVEN L. CAYCONG (CHS) PA, Command Chaplain, while the Non-Catholic session was facilitated by CPT MARLON L. ANTONIO (CHS) PA, Assistant Command Chaplain. Both discussions centered on the theme “True Freedom and False Freedom”, exploring the balance between personal liberty and the dangers of vices or irrational desires.

Participants also engaged in counseling and group discussions on navigating personal struggles, with emphasis on faith-based coping mechanisms and resilience. The activity culminated with a Holy Eucharist (Mass) for Catholic participants and a Bible Study for Non-Catholics, serving as a meaningful moment of renewal and spiritual communion.

The Character Enhancement Program is one of several initiatives integrated into the TRACOM curriculum to ensure that the Philippine Army continues to produce soldiers who are competent, morally grounded, and ready to fulfill their sworn duty of protecting the people and securing the state.

ENGINEER SCHOOL Opens 3rd Training Period: Welcomes New Class of Military Engineers

CAMP TINIO, NUEVA ECIJA – The Engineer School, Individual Training Group, Training Command, Philippine Army formally commenced its 3rd Training Period with an opening ceremony on 22 September 2025, marking the start of Engineer basic and advance career courses. The activity was held at Cabading Multi-Purpose Hall, Engineer School, Camp Tinio, Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.

The newly activated classes are the Engineer Officer Advance Course (EOAC) Class 65-2025, the Engineer Non-Commissioned Officer Advance Course (ENCOAC) Class 93-2025 and the Engineer Non-Commissioned Officer Basic Course (ENCOBC) Class 123-2025. The combined classes consist of 20 Officers and 100 Enlisted Personnel as students who will dedicate three (3) months to honing their technical skills and leadership capabilities.

The Program of Instructions for the three (3) courses are meticulously designed to equip the students with the knowledge required of an Army Engineer in a Combined Arms operations, including Combat Engineering, General Engineering, Disaster Relief and Humanitarian Assistance and Leadership. The EOAC prepares Officers for higher-level command and staff duties, while the ENCOAC and ENCOBC are crucial for building the technical and leadership foundation of the Army’s NCO Corps.

In his remarks, COL MARVIN B DOMINGO CE (GSC) PA, Commandant of Engineer School and also the Keynote Speaker, emphasized the critical role of military engineers in national security and development. "Your journey here is a testament to your commitment to excellence. The skills and knowledge you will gain are not just for the battlefield, but for building a stronger nation. You are the force behind the force, and the future of our Corps of Engineers rests on your shoulders”, he stated.

The ceremony was also attended by the Engineer School training directorates underscoring the importance of the training and the new students' professional careers.
