LOOK | SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN PEDERASYON NG CABANATUAN CITY EMERGENCY SESSION ATTENDANCE

The Sangguniang Kabataan Pederasyon ng Cabanatuan City held it's Emergency Session last April 30, 2026, in the Liga ng mga Barangay Conference Hall, City Hall Compound, Brgy. Kapitan Pepe, Cabanatuan City.

Out of 89 SK Chairpersons, only 39 were in attendance. Fourteen chairpersons were excused, and 36 were absent.Thus the session was not in quorum. Even so, those who attended decided to proceed discussing the important matters that were in the agenda.

This gave way for Mr. Louie Manarpiis of the DILG to discuss the Inventory and Turnover procedures for Barangay and SK Councils.He also gave reminders about energy conservation when conducting various youth development activities. Next to discuss to the SK Federation was Assistant City Budget Officer Mr. Mario Diaz. He discussed annual budget preparation concerns and other budgeting matters.

Another person to discuss to those in attendance was Mr. Joseph Valdez, Head Coach of the Cabanatuan City Aquatics Team. He discussed and encouraged all SK Chairpersons to engage in aquatic sports for the youth. Afterwards, Hon. Jerami Dayos ( SKC of Fatima ), discussed the important details from the recently concluded SK Assembly conducted by Commission on Audit, including the reminders and guidelines given.

In a proactive move toward fiscal transparency and good governance, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons of the Barangays for Audit this year attended the assembly focused on the Audit of Financial Reports and COA Compliance, with the Audit Team R3-26 of Cabanatuan City, headed by the OIC City Auditor Mrs. Lo**ta Escuadro, as the host and speakers of the said assembly.

Multiple topics were tackled, involving the necessary process and documents prepared for common SK financial transaction for liquidation.

This session underscored the importance of complying with the provisions set by the Commission on Audit to ensure that every peso allocated for community development is accounted for and utilized according to law.

The SK Federation officers and other SK Chairmans of Cabanatuan City, together with the Local Youth Development Office, was invited by the MV Gallego Foundation Colleges โ€“ High School Department. The event was called โ€œTanglaw: Silay sa Pag-asa ng Bagong Yugtoโ€, a culminating activity for Grade 12 HUMSS students. Various students from different section presented their projects and programs for the youth and community. The SK chairmans also attended the courtesy call to their high school principal Maโ€™am Rachelle Musngi.
