Today, April 29, 2026, I join the turn-over of the 3-Classroom School Building at Feliciano Magbanua Integrated School in Concepcion, Cabadbaran City, and the 4-Classroom School Building at Chief Justice Ramon Avanceña Integrated School in Sanghan, Cabadbaran City.

These classrooms should not just be spaces for learners to acquire knowledge, but rather a place for human formation where individuals are molded to become responsible and trustworthy citizens not just merely competitive performers.

With me are Board Member Rey G. Jamboy, representing Governor Angel M. Amante and ASDS Love Emma B. Sudario, representing SDS Imelda N. Sabornido who is on leave, Concepcion Barangay Captain Renato B. Opong, and Sanghan Barangay Captain Reynaldo M. Laput.

Happy to receive DepEd Agusan del Norte officials headed by Schools Division Superintendent Jeanie Mativo and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Hector Macalalag at my Congressional District Office at the Capitol Compound in Butuan City.

Likewise, Mayor Joselito “Junjun” Roble of Buenavista, Agusan del Norte also dropped by my office yesterday.

Their visit, though brief, reinforced our shared commitment of working together to deliver tangible outcomes for Agusan del Norte.

After all my official engagements for today were done, I went to SM City Butuan to view the “𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐂𝐔𝐒: 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧̃𝐚𝐬” Photo Exhibit, featuting the works of photojournalist and environmentalist Erwin Mascariñas.

This photo exhibit is one of the significant actions during the Earth Day celebration to raise awareness about the different wildlife species in the Caraga region, and in understanding and maintaining its rich biodiversity.

The exhibit runs until April 28.
